Anyone know how long it takes to recover from an injury like Meites? Either from personal experience or medical expertise?

RG30 He deleted the tweet within seconds but Tim Dellor implied a covid outbreak at the training camp in Scotland. All players isolating in bedrooms now.

Unless all the pictures on the twitter page are from yesterday, I'd say he got some bad info.

The only positive point is that this currently seems to be a very isolated case and not affecting the majority of the squad. Potentially affecting a player who only recently joined the squad.

Given the rest can carry on training and the infected player is asymptomatic then the only real damage is the loss of one friendly.

Fingers crossed all recover and the outbreak remains isolated and as LW said better now than in the run up to the Stoke game.

yes think Dellor was being a bit overdramatic. The official site seems a lot calmer, and seems only the one tested positive will need to isolate

Usual injury crisis starting to take shape with 2 weeks to go:

Meite - pretty much season written off, anything less a bonus
Joao - his standard soft tissue injury. Hasn't started a pre season game yet, must be a doubt for Stoke
Araruna - 5 weeks until he's with the first team squad
McIntyre & Holmes - niggles ruled them out last night
Puscas - self isolating

Joao played the inter club friendly. And assuming McIntyre, Holmes and Puscas will all be back in a week or so

And thats before the inevitable injuries we always pick up when we start playing games, of course it happens to all teams but we certainly seem to get more than most.

Not sure you can call isolating an injury.

4 of them are likely to be back for Stoke at the latest if not CP, and one of the others is a squad player who has played about 2 games and been out for a year.

I'll give you Meite though.

ITK Eddie confirms Ejaria out for tomorrow's game.

Do we know if Rino is fit as he missed the Palace game?

ITK Eddie says about Joao:

Hearing Joao will be out for a number of weeks. I cant put a number on it but #ReadingFC will have to find other solutions for a while.

Also, Ejaria latest from Saturday from Courtney:

“Ovie is still recovering from his issues.
We'll assess him on Sunday and Monday and we'll see if we can have him ready for Bristol.”

SSN reporting Paunovic may name the same side as Saturday.

I know we’re short of plan B but playing a clearly unfit Joao would be sticking to plan A ostrich style

(I know SSN make stuff up)

They also said that we had the same team on Saturday as we did for the Swansea game :)

I have absolutely no idea why I fall for their crap. I should know by now.

Will the referee allow Joao to take his crutches onto the pitch ?
If he scores off his crutch does that count as handball ?
Might make some iffy holes in the pitch as well
