From Despair To Where? Don't know if this is of any interest.

I’d take that with a pitch of salt as they have Meite down for a return in mid December 2021.

Get Paul on the case.

As I said, it's useful as a rough guide.

Zip
From Despair To Where? ...and it doesn't include Tetek and Halilovic.

Useful as a rough guide to what's happening around the league, though.

Yep. Our injuries are the worst by miles. It cannot just be down to bad luck.

Worth bearing in mind that if it doesn’t include 2 of ours it may not include all of the others' either. But yes, it is especially bad here currently.

In fairness it was accurate as of Thursday. Not sure when it was released but the Halilovic and Tetek injuries have only become known about in the last few days.

Anyone know how long Holmes & Morrison are out for?

Rino seems to have been one game away for a month?

Araruna - how close is he? Been training with first team for a month

Would be nice if we had decent local journos who asked some questions

Rino really should be back for Barnsley. No idea what Morrison’s injury actually is. Holmes had a sprained ankle so unless it was really bad should be back for Barnsley or very soon after. As for Araruna he seems to be forever training to get match fit. He really should be back soon unless his second op also failed.

Don’ think Holmes has a sprained ankle. It was described as a significant injury after they had a chance to assess. I think ‘sprained ankle’ was the immediate, post match thought.

Sprains aren't exactly nothing either.

Mine's never been the same since I did it. Same with basically everyone I know who's done theirs. Took about 6 weeks to mostly recover.

Obviously Holmes will get mediocre professional physio and medical support on a daily basis, but just a bad strain would take a min of a couple of weeks before you could train and then you'd want another couple of weeks of strengthening before you really test it imo.

I’m inclined to agree spraining things can be a killer. Sprained both my achilles quite badly in 2016, couldn’t walk for a week and still have problems with them. Unless Holmes needed surgery I think he’ll be back by November.

Morrison was on crutches when I saw him before the Boro game.

Is he actually out for any time? I thought he had a gash which should clear up over the next couple of weeks

Courtney Friday reporting that it got infected and he needs his leg amputated.

Great. How many weeks will he miss with that?

There is a chance that by the time of the Barnsley game Reading could have Araruna, Holmes, Rinomhota and Morrison at least back in training. Just a couple of those being back and able to play would be a start.

Halilovoc, last I heard, was thought to be a “soft tissue injury so anyone’s guess at the moment but I wouldn’t have thought that’d mean that long out.

Not injured but both Moore and Hoilett play the Thursday before the Barnsley game so with travel etc after an evening game i'd have thought it unlikely they will play.

I'm sure Moore has played after a long travel like that before.

I tell you what does get my goat and i saw it alot on twitter and perhaps on here at the weekend - its the comments:

"our physio department is awful"
"what do they do in training"
"something is totally wrong, questions should be asked"

Any grounds for such comment? Injuries are just that, injuries aren't they? How many are caused whilst training, versus bad challenges, personal injuries etc.

Just bad luck, right?
