andrew1957 Phenomenal effort from Meite to recover so quickly. Is that the fastest ever recovery from an ACL.

Seems like it is way too soon and I'd rather he didn't play again this season tbh. If he breaks down as a result of rushing back it will be a huge disaster for the club.

Likely to come off at HT I would have thought.

No, it’s typical.

This is pretty much exactly what I said was the most likely timeframe for his return in the summer.

paultheroyal As previously commented I think we need to forget meite for this season, that injury is 9-12 months and then won’t be same player…

Wrong in the summer and wrong yesterday.

Guess it was a relatively uncomplicated injury and he recovered fast from it

Fantastic news but won’t expect too much too soon

Likely to be on the bench on Saturday I would say, maybe get 10 mins.

Be good to have him there

Tbh would be happy enough if he didn’t come on and geared up for the game on 9th

Moore called up by Jamaica so must be fit enough. Whether he will be recalled remains to be seen but he would be another option. Finally we are getting players back.

Out of nowhere might suddenly have everyone fit by the game after QPR

Then it gets interesting….

Delighted to see Meite back for the U23's tonight, I didn't expect to see him in contention for a competitive fixture this soon. Hopefully we don't rush him back, manage him well and potentially by late Feb we can have him back and fully fit, that would be massive for us.

Why that long?

If he can do u23 tonight he’ll be good for a couple of weeks time

I'd imagine they'd want to manage it correctly and with him being out for a significant period of time and given the fact that so many players have suffered set backs during this season, we will hardly want Meite suffering some sort of set back for the remainder of the season as it could finish his season, so I imagine the club will take precautions, we've seen what has happened with Araruna's knee injuries.

Different players, different injuries

Joao wasn’t out for much less time than Yak and is back starting

Wouldn’t expect him starting Against Bristol but should be more than fine for the bench

They seem to have got Joao, Rinohmota, Morrison's returns spot on so far.

Looking good with McIntyre too, they fo actually seem to be handling long term returns pretty well, so fairly confident on Meite's return. Araruna being the horrible exception but that may just be down to his body.

Now if we can just stop people getting injured in the first place.

Yeah I agree in the main but I'm sure that the club will approach Meite's situation with caution with what has gone on so far this season. If we are able to keep our squad fit between now and the end of the season then we will survive.

It’s very early to be saying this. If they are still fit a month from now I will agree but it’s early days

True but would naturally depend on any new injury that kept them out. A reoccurrence of the old injury, yep fair enough. A new, unrelated knock, not so much.
