something isn't right regardless of staff numbers etc.

Too many muscular injuries this season eg Azeez has had 4 soft tissue injuries and Halilovic at least 3, Hoilett & Dann a couple each too, some of these in training as well....

Royal_jimmy Ince admits why we may have so many injuries.

We don't stretch enough. Clearly that's from bad coaching.

It was a good interview overall.

Ince seems to have strong ideas about how a club should be run, and isn't afraid to say the club is a long way off operating in that way currently.

It was telling when Ince said at Inter he'd do 45 mins of stretching pre and post match and we do much less.

When I've done anything vaguely organised as a warm up it takes a good 20 minutes minimum, preferably 30... although that's not just stretching. For professional sports people I'd expect more along Ince's time or longer.

It's pretty credible our stretching and warm up is substandard. The pre match warm up v West Brom didn’t look like much.

Lack of stretching as a reason is definitely credible

Could be loads of different things though - diets, recovery, lack of intensity in warm ups, over or under doing the gym work

Whatever it is; while things needs stripping back to the beginning and starting again. Even with all of the other failures of this season, the constant injuries, reinjuries and slow recovery times has been the biggest issue imo

Lack of stretching seems a really, really poor reason for the injuries to have piled up this season. Especially considering we are a professional football club in the Championship with medical staff who will need degree's to be working in this field.

If it's something as "basic" as a lack of stretching, we probably need a new set of staff!

I’m not convinced by the lack of stretching as the reason why as the injuries have continued under Ince. When he joined the worst of the crisis was over but injury levels haven’t really improved under him.

I don't think he's saying it's the sole reason. It's a really good and simple example of the poor conditioning we have. Which you don't fix in just a couple of months at the tail end of a season no matter whether you've put in place corrective action or not.

Was he saying it is stretching, I thought he said that we must be missing something that other sides aren't then used stretching as a basic example.
