SCIAG Dons are a Cat 3 academy and have to compete with Watford and Luton for local players. Imagine they struggle to recruit the South London boys who bulk out our academy, and if they do get someone good then holding onto them is difficult.

Atm our sides are among the worst in Category 1, but we’re still Category 1. It’s like the gap between Norwich’s first team and League One.

Very much this. The u23s will definitely have a tougher game against Ascot than they got last night. Took penalties to get past Chesham in the last round.

Not exactly an inspired decision to play the game the same day as the final game vs Luton, anyone who goes to that isn't going to get to Slough in time for kick-off.

Good to see Andresson playing. He must have been out injured for months.

All depends on if anything is riding on the Luton game. If it is a dead rubber and not on TV can imagine a few may decide to pop along if the weather is good.

A dead rubber game may weaken the side though as some of the u23s more likely to be involved next season, may be invovled in the first team that day.

On one hand I don’t want to go to Luton as it is in Luton.

On the other hand I don’t want to go to Slough either.

If they got themselves organised they’d have an 11.30am kick off for the final then you could get to both games.

Unless you can teleport and have the ability to turn back time, you wouldn't. Seeing as the Luton game is a 12:30 kick off.

That would make the clash worse, and I wouldn’t even get a lie in.

Is it? In that case just make the B&B final a 4.30pm start.

LUX who has the better record historically, Berks teams or Bucks teams?

On current boundaries, I make it:
Bucks - 71
Berks - 64
Oxon - 1

There was one year it was shared but it was two current Berkshire teams, so that counts as 1 for Berks.

On historic counties, it's:
Bucks - 85 plus 1 shared
Berks - 50 plus 1 shared

Berkshire win guaranteed this year, so on current boundaries that will be:
Bucks - 71
Berks - 65
Oxon - 1

Only 900 tickets for Luton so pretty irrelevant overall

So 71-66 then using the “proper” borders

It’d be good to win this cup in our 150th year as it was the first trophy we ever won in 1879. And we’ve only won it three times,

But then Reading have only entered the competition for a fraction of the seasons that it's been held.

The last time Reading won the B&B - wasn't it on the same day that a result elsewhere in the second division/championship guaranteed that Reading would stay up or was it that they'd be guaranteed at least a play off place?

The last time we won the B&B Cup was in 1995, so I guess it was to make the play-offs in 1994-95.

Thanks yes, that’s right. Mayday bank holiday I think, Reading beat Slough while their play off place was confirmed when Oldham got a point at…. Barnsley.

One potential spanner in the works is that the M4 will be shut, yet again, between 8/9 and 6 that weekend, so the roads will not be fun. Not the worst to do by train though.

... in the recent weeks that these closures have been a regular thing, the A4 has been Ok - so just the last bit where you'll most likely get snarled up thru Sluff to the road up past the Station (B416 Stoke Rd) and beyond to Arbour Pk
- that and finding somewhere to park - usually the college/academy next door to the ground (Lynch Hill?) is Ok if you get there early enough?

It tends to be further up the A404(M) where the traffic issues really bite .... when they are pfaffing about with M4 diversions etc.
