Hound Thought Southwood had a dodgy game - wasn't great with those crosses at the start, poor distribution and I don't think the effort on the goal was particularly good. seemed to make himself smaller rather than bigger

But overall he has been brilliant since he has come in. Would say that's the first average game he has had

The distribution one I find frustrating at times. He gathers the ball quickly and looks to get rid of it, but then often delays and kicks instead. Fortunately his kicking is miles better than Raphael’s but I’d like him to just roll it out a bit more and get on with it. I assume it’s coaching because nothing we do is ever with any urgency, intensity or speed.

Southwood.

As for the game, this is going to be miserable. It's going to be wet, cold, shit and we will lose.

Beaten very easily at his near post.

One mistake and he deserves to be dropped? Overall he’s been fantastic since he’s come in. Think that’s harsh tbh.

No, a costly - error is a bit strong, lets say fault or weakness - means he didn't do enough to demand being picked.

I wasn't counting it. And I don't have to justify or explain myself to a troll like you.

Surely we have to finally beat this lot. It's been way too long and many games.

Wonder what will come first a play-off win or beating Swansea.

Could have killed 2 birds with 1 stone in 2011.

Head says we will get passed to death and lose 2-0 because that is just what happens.

Heart says they pass us to death but fail to score, Carroll gets his head on our 1 attacking set play and puts it wide. 0-0.

yeah expecting a very dull game, Swansea boring the pants off everyone, while us getting stuck around the half way line every time we get the ball - either them nicking a goal in the first and then a second late on, or just two second half goals. And the game will just die a death from that point onwards, if it hadn't already done so. Probably because its so cold, AH will redo his hammy as well.

One hope is the weather is so bad it disrupts them, and we can force a few mistakes.

Yes fully expecting a really dull game. Hoping we can come away with a 0-0 draw as Swansea are nothing special but with just 4 points from 7 games we are in dire form.

I expect a repeat of the Sheffield United game with us losing by one or two silly goals.

Carroll starts, Puscas on bench. Moore presumably injured. Bench inexperienced again.

Are Moore and Ejaria injured? Seems like even if they were dropped they would at least be on the bench.

Can only be really, can’t see both being dropped for the sake of it given the lack of resource on the bench.

Very positive XI. Some concerns over Carroll and Halilovic's fitness.

TDB probably out wide where he's poor and wasted?

Should play with a host more tempo and pace though. Just hope Hal makes it through ok. Azeez on for 20-30 mins to cover the right could be positive.

NathStPaul I think we need to give Ejaria a rest for this one, saw him in person against Forest and he was terrible but somehow he managed to be even worse last night.

I would start Carroll, give him 45 minutes and hopefully cause problems early in the game.

Southwood

Yiadom
Holmes
Dann
Baba

Laurent
Drinkwater
Swift

Halilovic
Carroll
Azeez
