There’s 3 on the pitch though.

Sorry, I'll ask again. What did you guys expect?

And how exactly were a cheaply assembled Reading side, meant to "go for it" against an in-form, full strength United at Old Trafford without getting absolutely fcuking annihilated?

How do we go for it if we don’t have the ball?

Just naming 2 strikers isn’t “going for it” when they’re seemingly played in midfield. “Going for it” would involve creating more than 2 shots in 45 minutes.

+10000000000000

Bunch of misfits and freebies against a squad that cost 500m+ on a run on 10 home wins in a row

2 shots ain’t actually too bad

Leon Osman has been very complimentary about Reading’s display.

Ah indeed. The three Tom's and Andy Yiadom have a been fantastic. Our four best players tonight.

Bearing in mind 3-1 is getting hammered I'd dread to think what being 2-0 down at HT and losing 5-1 would have been.

1-3 is ok. Some positives to take

Baba and Loum were pretty dreadful but otherwise all did ok against a quality side.

Agree about both Tom's.
Amadou has to start. I hope we don't regret not signing him up to a longer deal. There will be plenty of interest in him in the summer.

We played well down to ten and in the end it was completely respectable.

We must not play Carroll and Joao together upfront. It just doesn't work.

I'll take that. Played much better towards the end. Rahman and Loum were nothing short of useless. It all it could have been worse at one point but all in all I'd settle for that. The fact we scored was a big plus.

Yeah, there should have been an up against Rahman coefficient applied to Anthony's performance, Casemiro has been robbed.

Sutekh Hope Mbengue starts v Watford, ahead of Dann.

I'm far from Mbengue's biggest fan, but he does add some pace at the back.

Hard to drop any of the 3 from tonight, but maybe Hoilett could use a rest and Mbengue could slot in with Yiadom wide.

Dann shouldn't step on the field except in an injury crisis or to defend a lead late on with 4 CBs.

This season ending has so many positives. Moore millstone gone. Rahman gone. Dann gone. Probably Ejaria gone. Can't wait.

Do think we need to try to work out our forward line - did look better with Long but nothing looks very convincing at the moment

They all look individually useful options but not really gelling at all
