Nice goal from Joao, excellent header from Carroll

Thought we’d score a few more like that this year tbh

Do feel getting Joao playing and scoring is prob key to us winning any more games this year

Huge motivation for him. Last big contract of his career - add another 3-4 goals and keep us up he’ll be in a lot of demand and can get himself a decent wage

Good point in the end, the game really opened up with us going 4-4-2 however, we looked much more threatening going forward. Its getting close to stick or twist time moving forward. Do we play our ultra negative 5-3-2 formation and play for a draw with the chance of nicking a win!! Down side to this is we really are piss poor at defending.
On the flip side do we play 4-4-2 and try and get these points needed to stay up!! we looked even more dodgy at the back with four playing there however we did look like a threat going forward with goals in us.

Birmingham is a must win for me, so its 4-4-2 all the way. Joao has scored two in two (one on international duty) and is a must starter moving forward!!

Lumley

Yids Holmes Sarr NGW

Meite Hendrick Casedei Azeez

Joao Carroll

Also think 4-3-3 ay also work well:

Lumley

Yids Holmes Sarr NGW

Fornah Hendrick Casedei

Meite Joao Azeez

Our tactical genius will play 5-3-2 against Birmingham and 4-3-3 against Burnley.

Millsy It's been emotional, guys.

A good point earned today.

Reading - clueless as ever but worked hard and a deserved point tbf.

Generous, could have easily been 3 or 4 to Bristol

I agree with both these posts.

Lumley made 3 or 4 solid saves, 2 goals (rightly) offside. We battled for a couple of solid ten minute spells to get a goal.

Two thoughts
*so many unforced errors - both ends of pitch
*big first away trip of season vibes in the away end ... guess it was the sunny weather

Bristol City really should have won and were better on the day but we did what we had to do. Could we have won?. absolutely at the end but we almost lost it as well.

I don't care about performances now it's about results. We got a slightly lucky point but it's a point on the board.

Friday is a must win game, I also feel we need a win at Preston to give us some breathing space before Burnley and Luton at home. I'd snap your hand off for 7 points in the next 4 before Coventry, Wigan and Huddersfield. Even if we win against Luton which is a tough game.
