Royal_jimmy How are Peterborough shorter odds than us?

Why not?

ReadingGlasses Exactly, how do you come up with odds for a team which

A) has no manager

B) is running low on players and so needs to go on on a big recruitment drive

C) is coming out of a long period of transfer restrictions, and so has no relevant recent pattern of transfer behaviour

Give it a few weeks and things might become clearer, but even as fans we probably won't get a good feel for how things are going to go until the pre-season friendlies at best. Possibly even not until we're a few games in to the season.

You just need to come up with an initial starting figure that seems reasonable. If you're too generous or too mean with them the market will soon tell you and your automatic systems will immediately adjust the odds to reflect demand - that's how odds work.

I've revised my expectations.... minimum expectation is for the club to hire a sodding manager before pre-season kicks in.

It will happen, even if Mark Bowen appoints himself again

Expecting a bottom half finish. Concerned we may even be involved in another relegation battle. Getting this new manager right is so so important when we're still in such a mess behind the scenes.

Hard to feel any confidence that this season will be more than a sea of frustration now. It's all down to the owner who has no clue how to run a football club.

Because they're not run by the clueless and have some vague idea about managerial appointments (even if it is only the one).

League 2 could well be a reality....followed by administration.
The way we dropped like a stone after the points deduction could happen again.

I definitely have lowered my expectations now. I don't think we'll be relegated again this season unless we go into administration though.

Does feel like we are the next Bradford City in the making

I think we’re League Two bound tbh. I see us being another Pompey and there’s more pain to come. It’s our turn, but both Luton and Coventry give me hope for the future.

Having watched Chesterfield several times this season if you are doing well it doesn’t matter what league you play in. If we end up playing our games at Prospect Park I’ll be there.

Some posters on this thread seemed to happy ticking off a few new grounds this season. Seems to me that they will be ticking off a few more the following season as well. If we are still in existence then, could we become the first club to have played every other team in the top four tiers?

So Wigan failed to pay their players and got a 3 point deduction i believe? S if we are found guilty what would we be looking at 3 points? 6 points? I cannot see another embargo happening or am i missing something?

It's several charges, including taking action against the owner, which is rich because the EPL blocked him owning a club yet the EFL allowed him....how did that happen. Pity we can't sue the EFL.

Not a ball kicked in pre-season training and we're already relegated.

If we end up in administration then that would be an additional 15 points added to whatever they're planning to give us. Could start the season like 21 points behind.

Always has been.

Also think a lot of your are over-reacting talking about relegation.
