Again though, the manager hasn't let us down with signings before.

Paul Brooker

Lloyd Owusu

Dean Morgan

..........................................

Be fair you old bugger, how did they let us down?
For the budget we had at the time, they all knitted in well and did a suitable job for us.
None let us down IMO.
That said, they weren't good enough for a Championship title charge, hence why they moved on last summer.

I don't feel like being fair today, Jay.

Not so much of the old. It's all relative. To you I may be old, but to Royal Rother, I'm not. :?

Someone sounds a bit sensitve about their age

It also says our budget is £10million.

The Times said last week pur budget was £7 million. I wander where the extra £3 million has come from?

Well, I won't be disappointed when this becomes official from our end.

I think Sodje will offer firm cover for our center backs, and if we get Mensah as well, then I think we will be well covered across the back four.

So far, so good. RFC always do this - rumours break, it goes silent for several weeks (at least!) and then hit us with the signings we were speculating about months before.

Now, when's Fowler signing on the dotted line?

Although it's all paper talk, I'd imagine 7 million would be a closer figure. (about 6 mill now with Seol).

on the brentford forums, they seem on the whole pretty complimentary about him (apart from the last few months of last season that is :? )

a few saying hes not up to prem quality, and that he'd be lucky to be a squad player, let alone a starter

if i remember right, didnt a few on there say that sonko might not be even up to championship class ?

and look how he's turned out for us :D

Is this the same guy that used to play for Huddersfield and wore a silly badger bandana?

In the cup game we had against them I thought he looked quality. Not very tall, but strong and quick. He didn't give Fozzie a sniff all night (until we bought on another striker and he got some space and scored)

They are related though. (brothers I think). There's three of them playing in England.

An Apology.

I initially stated back in september that Sodje would be a Reading player during the January transfer window.

I was laughed off the board.

I accept that I was wrong, by six months.

I will now get back to my crystal ball and try and get the time/date thing back on track.

Calm down Finch. If Mensah signs then all's good. I would be concerned and surprised if Sodje was our only defensive signing. Coppell has probably looked at the fee and thought we can't really lose on that one.
