MOTM v West Ham

Sonko with another world class defensive performance;Sid with an excellent performance topped by that stunning goalline clearance to effectively seal the points;Seol looking fully fit and now doing his defensive duties and that beautifully struck goal.

Sidwell for me, closely follwed by Sonko. Though a mention for Convey who, certainly in the first half, seemed to be back to his best. Went missing in the second half at times, but encouraging signs from him.

Can't split Sonko and Sidwell. Both outstanding performances.

Sonko was by far the best player on the pitch. Suprised many have gone for Sidwell, and I can only imagine this was based on his last minute goal line clearance. Having been unable to travel to Upton park today and having watched the game on t'internet, I though Sidwell's overhaul contribution was OK, but not great. His first touch today was well below his normal standard.

Definately a tight one. Perhaps Sidwell should get it for that vital header off the line, but no, Sonko was amazing me throughout the game, so he just shades it.

I can't believe anyone is voting for someone other than Sonko.

Sonko for me. Everytime they looked like scoring, he got a tackle in or made an important block. He really is superman

I agree AP.
I thought he might be too slow for this level but his positional play this season has more than compensated for his lack of pace.
Excellent timing of his challenges today-well done Ivar.

SONKO IS SUPERMAN and SIDDERS WAS SUPER TOO!!

Looks like Sonks will be Player of the Month for September but Coppell reserved most praise for Sidwell today.

Having just seen Sids last ditch clearance again on MOTD 2 it seems Sonko as ever too was in position also to hoof the ball clear but withdrew probably for fear of accidently decapitating Sid as much as anything.Well done both.
I agree Ingi has been fantastic this term and quietly takes up optimum positions and gets important toes in and makes important interceptions and tidies up exactly when needed. He plays in such an unassuming unflash kind of manner that his contibution is perhaps sometimes underestimated.
