I didn't know the Reading Chronicle had a team.Which league do they play in?

Shouldn't this be in another section?

I'm going to look past Glenn Little for this season, mainly down to him not featuring much in the first quarter. Ivar will get my shout, a regular in the team and Mr Consistency again this season

Nicky Shorey for me, up and down the wing relentlessly, brilliant at the dead ball

just oozes class whenever he plays and hasn't put a foot wrong

I think I heard on the radio that Ivar is the only player on the team to play the entire 90 minutes of every single match since the beginning of the season.

That includes cup games.

Then it's false. He didn't play against Darlington or Birmingham i believe.

It's March and we're only 3/4 of the way through the season.

Is it not a bit early to choose a 'Player of the Season'?

I voted for Kevin Doyle. I think there are quite a few that could be voted for, (to be honest, everyone has had a good season so far), but because ALL our strikers were written off by most of the pundits I've gone for our least expected to make it one.

Way to early to start voting for player of the season. Having said that it's between Shorey and Ivar for me both had excellent season's.

In other words 23% of the season (I haven't counted cup games in the total that were playable before some smart *rse queries the %!) still remains to be played .

What are The Chronic playing at, asking for votes this early?! Don't want Royalee voting before Lita, Seol or Bikey have the chance to make a late surge into his affections!

Shorey or Sidders. The whole team has been fantastic but these two have stood head and shoulders above the rest in terms of consistency and dependability over the course of the season. Which one I cant work out...... :?

possible contenders
Little
doyle
shorey
murty
ingi
hunt
edit, forgot sidwell
little, despite being our most creative player missed the first 10ish games, so unfortunately not my vote,
doyle, most consistant striker, but has also missed over a months worth of football, maybe just too much for him to get iit,
shorey, got to be a big contender as at last his talents are being recognised. mr consitant again and has always looked good going forward,
murty, the leader of the team, hes been in and out of the side, through injury but has been the most missed player when hes out, should be a contender, but i feel some of his work goes unappreciated,
ivar gets my vote, just beating shorey, solid as a rock, when i thought he may stuggle, reads the game well and has had to be a calming influence to the likes of sonks and BK. his commitment and attitude is never questioned, but doesnt always get the praise he deserves. hopre he wins it this year,
hunty, could never question his commitment, and has proved his critics wrong this season showing he is able, and obviously dealt with those incedents well. but didnt start the season, and just hasnt quite done enough to be a major contender
sidwell, whilst being strong and dominant in some games, has not always controlled the tempo of the game as much as i would have liked, though has certainly improved his consistancy compared to previous seasons. likely to be a contender, but his contract situation will probably hold him back
thats my summary

I'd vote for Sidwell as you might not be able to next year

Looks like lottery time, just can't decide between; Little, Shorey, Sidwell, Murty and Doyle - can we give it to SC on behalf of the whole squad?

When the whole team beats your wildest expectation does it even matter?

Can you remember who won the Chronicle's award last year? Win as a team, lose as a team.

Sidwell for me - he's been brilliant lately and has played every game. He's closely followed by Shorey and Doyle.

Doyle, Hunty, Sidders, Shorey and Lita have all been outstanding this season, not to mention Little, Murts (our great captain), Ingimarsson and Sonko. Doyle had to be the player of the fist half of the season, but overall Ingimarsson gets my vote.

Most improved player: Hunty by a country mile.
