Reading V Lyon Predictions +match thread

by higher » 15 Jul 2007 20:04

(mon 16th july high noon uk time) :

Another tough pre-season work out against a side that recently walked the French league for the 6th time running. We need to get a point I believe if we are to hang on in there for the 2 million Squids.Still as long as we put up a good show and dont pick up injuries in the process im sure most on here will be happy enough.

Sir Steve interview
For the record my crystal balls are going for the 2-2 draw(Doyle,Seol pen)
G`aaarn urzzz

Bookies odds:Bet 365:
Reading 4/1
Draw 5/2
Lyon 8/13

Can;t say I'm fussed about the result.
Would liek us to score a goal, put in a steady team performance and have a couple of individuals make us sit up and take notice - ideally players who didn;t figure much last season.

1-0

Lyon see a lot of the ball but don't do quite enough damage with it.

Not fussed about the score. Hopefully everyone will come through the game fit and healthy and a step closer to match fitness and I wish the youngsters well.

I think the tempo of this game will suit us better than the pace River Plate moved the ball.

I'm going 3 -1 to us :)

Can anyone actually remember the last time we were beaten 3-1, or 4-1?
I think Arsenal is the last team to put more than 2 goals past us, and beating us by more than a goal margin.
Don't forget, we only lost 1-0 to River Plate and that was our first game in 8 weeks. We shouldn't roll over that easily.

Hopefully it'll be a 1-0 victory to the Royals. Would be good to keep a clean sheet.

In my wildwest dream, 4-0 to Reading.

Oster
Duberry
Halls
Stack (makes 70yards goal!)

Four players I came actoss in Seoul in their private time on Saturday(I previously stated Fraiday, sorry). They were having a tea after the dinner. I could not believe my luck. I felt a little guilty to bother them, but guys were very generous to let me and my wife in the same photo with them, and even gave me a shake hand.
At where?
Can't tell, but I had to appriciate such opportunity to God in this place in this paticular day.

That is fantastic Hiro. You should post the picture if you care to. I am sure they appreciated the chance to meet one of their biggest fans in such a far away place as well!
