Friendliest man in football?

by willz_royal » 13 Aug 2007 09:18

it has to be sonko.

Yesterday he stood up, signed various things and got his picture taken with anyone that wanted one without fuss. He spoke like a gentleman, shook our hands, a "couldnt do enough for you" kind of guy

just thought id show you all how much of a legend he really is

told him to "get well soon" , but forgot to ask when hed be back, did anyone?

Believe he's aiming to 'be on the bench' for games from mid-September.

Sonks also turned up unprompted to wave the lads off to South Korea. I thought at the time that was not only very genuine of him but also embodied the team spirit that we've built the team around.

Fantastic stuff to see him in the seats with everyone else - he'll be leading the songs, Dylan Kerr-style next!

Based on what I saw on Sunday, he may struggle to get back in the side.

Couldn't imagine a United player doing that? Or many Prem players come to think of it. Top man Sonks

Reading RTG's again.

How do you know Carlisle Uniteds goal keeper isn't more friendly than sonko?

Sonko is a good bloke, but suggesting he is the friendliest in football goes a step to far.

Actually he was the friendliest man in football 2005 voted by the PFA likeable chappie panel. It's Joey Barton this year.
