No 13

by Gordons Cumming » 16 Sep 2007 20:09

I think that Reading's Number 13 needs to show his/her true form and lead from the front in the next game against Wigan.

We need a noisy atmosphere to spur the boys on.

Can't argue with that. One of the games this season where maybe we can make a difference.

i was thinking that during the Sunlun game. 2-0 down...maybe there should be some encouragement from the stands.

To be fair there were some of us that were trying to get the crowd singing but were thwarted by a combination of a lack of interest from some sections of the crowd and over zealous policing

A very noble rallying call, coming - what - a mere 6 days before the Wigan match. And a variation on a rather tired theme already discussed on another thread today.

I am afraid that for as long as the goalkeeper continues to use butter-smeared gloves, as long as our centre-halves appear to be talking a different language, as long as our midfield struggles to create anything for our service-starved strikers then I don't really see what the crowd can really do to help. I should imagine that 400 Wigan fans will outshout around 50 times as many home supporters who will as ever be hassled by our fascist stewards.

You most certainly can. I shall holler and shout as ever, fully aware that it makes not the blindest bit of difference. Makes me feel better anyway.

It makes very little if any difference IMO especially if your team is utter crap at the minute.

Can have my opinion like anyone else. My opinion is that of late Reading have been shite, what part of that do you disagree with?

Ha, fair enough.

AtleticoSpizz, yep exactly. The last 3 games have been absolutely rubbish.

Reading are lacking in a lot of areas this season IMO although early days, next week is a massive game for Reading.

I can see the Wigan game being a dreary game on and off the pitch, they will bring 500 max and there will be big gaps in the home stands, probably 19,000 now that alot of the plastics are starting to lose interst again

The one thing we have to do is back up the team at bloody home. We all know they have been very poor for three games but they need to hear the vocal support..it does make a difference. Of course it does..it can even influence refereeing decisions..just look at what happened to Stephen Hunt in midweek
