Steve Coppell's school of humour

by T.R.O.L.I. » 06 Nov 2007 19:23

Apologies if this is a Dodd but I found the following on the BBC "Quotes of the Week" page:

"It's just a game of football. There are 1.2 billion people in India who couldn't give a s*** what happens to Reading."
Reading boss Steve Coppell is philosophical after the 3-1 defeat by Fulham.

There's about 100,000 people in the Reading area that don't either.

At least.

Only to the eagle-eyed, who for the most part live for moments such as this.

Second thread from the top of Page 2, under the title "Premier League & TV"

Er, for the record and as of this writing.

Well I look forward to hearing his wit at the LMA dinner later this month. He is guest speaker.

Anyone else going?

Unfortunate for Coppell that the 1.2 billion in India have no relevance and that the 30,000 in Reading do.

Also unfortunate for the 30k in Reading that we lost!

Unfortunate for Coppell that some of the 50,000 who care can't see his point, which is well made IMHO!!
