royalsteve they called me a plank - L18SFC - you are a total moron

The South stand (for away fans only), moron, holds 2327 - sometimes the away team will get less than this - this part of the ground where the SAFC fans were was at best 2/3 full

Even assuming SAFC did get 2327 then

2327*0.67 equals 1535.82 - which is approx 1500 - or cant you calculate up north

so the only PLANK is L18SFC

I know my club better than you PLANK

yer...

plank.

4 pages about 2 women out of 40,000 Sunderland fans.
What an inferiority complex some of our own fans have to get so wound up by this-pathetic.

"two foo'ed tackul in oooer gooolkaypers faaaace, joost laayk that hoont tackul"

bitter bitter northern slags

If they're referring to Convey, the way I saw it that incident only occurred because one of their defenders gave him a tug back as he went in for the challenge!

Spot on - if he'd not been held back he'd have got to the ball and scored.

This arguement is boring me now - It was initiated by 2 women yes, but other mackems, as demonstrated by their fanzine website, hold similar views, reading fans taking the piss and picking holes in their arguements = not really a shocker

, blatant shirt/arm pulling when a player is on a barnstorming run, about to attack the box
their players did this 3-4 times in the game

I lived in the NE for six years and there is something special about Sunderland that makes Saturday's win all the more special. Tyne and Wear is meant to be a hotbed of football, but to be honest, most Newcastle fans are dull glory boys who feel they have a divine right to be in the top 5 (mainly due to that single brilliant Keegan season) and are just unable to talk realistically about football. Sunderland fans are special becuase they know just as well what it is like to win the FA Cup as languish in the old Division 3. Therefore I believe the analysis by that bloke on their website and it made me feel proud of everything that has gone on over the last six years at our club. Just think how many players we have who we wouldn't be able to sign if they played for other clubs and try not to moan during the transfer window when we sign another reserve.

I hope they stay up - I wish that we had Jones and Gordon in our side (and that we could play McShane every week of the season).

I find it increadible that Sunderland have no basic scouting structure. Surely that's a key part of the brick by brick approach that JM advocates. It's already costing Sunderland millions to not have one. It's the difference between spending £78,000 on an unknown striker from a minor European League and spending £5.5m on an average Championship striker.

I think we're following in the steps of Man Utd and Arsenal, scouting for young foreign talent. Stick a foreign youngster in your academy at the age of 16 and should uncle Sepp introduce quotas, he'll have gone through a Britsih academy system and be classed as British by the time he's 20. Ok, were not picking up Spaniards, Frenchmen or Italians but by concentrating on places like Iceland and Bulgaria, for a relatively small outlay, we could be uncovering the next Eidur Gudjohnssen or Hristo Stoichkov, meanwhile, Sunderland will be spending £3m on an average Championship defender because they don't know any better.

The first two callers (Jenny and Christine from Sunderland) are pure comedy gold.

cheers for that mate
i missed 606 and really wanted to hear the aftermath

I hate Roy Keane - what a prick - no integrity. in stark contrast to Coppell who would never disgrace the club by attacking referees or losing his temper.

Yes, because Alex Ferguson is famously gracious in defeat himself isn't he?
