This is really starting to annoy me (not SC, NH, JM, etc.)

by SCIAG » 19 Jul 2008 17:40

In numberous threads I have seen people describing Hal Robson-Kanu as a striker. It's various people, some touting him as a replacement for Kitson, some just saying "he could do well up front", etc.

HRK is a LEFT WINGER. Always has been, always will be. Please stop calling him a striker. If you were merely trying to think of a young player who could be a striker, we've got Simon Church, Kelvin Bossman, Victor Illagusson and that Valislev chap. I'm not saying they're any good, but at least name them as "promising strikers", rather than players who play in completely different positions.

Another thing is the thought that Karacan is defensive. He's about as defensive as Harper.

I'm fed up with people describing Kitson as a striker. He played on the wing, in midfield or in central defence but never as a striker!

I'm sure Kelvin Bossman was a WWF wrestler in the early 90's

Better not mention all those games he played up front on loan at Southend.

If his interview in that article is anything to go by, the Bossman is Reading's most articulate player - now that Kitson has gone, that is.

Didn't he score those goals from the wing? I'll ask a few Southend fans.
