Apparently there's a new online medical service being run from White Hart Lane.

Unfortunately/Fortunately (depending on your point of view) broadband access from the local area has been suspended. SSC has taken the batteries out of the wireless keyboard.

Prepare yourselves for a spate of loan deals which will turn into permanent upon completion of medicals.

Turns out Doncaster being called off was probably a blessing in disguise, at least it gave us a more advanced warning of postponement.

Hunt is still being heavily linked with a move away but I'm not so sure anymore.

Just been informed by a friend of mine who is a spurs fan that Spurs will Sign Stephen Hunt today, and we have lined up Southamptons Nathan Dyer as his replacement.

Dyer apparently stayed in Southampton after the Swans game on Saturday, with Reading close to agreeing a £900,000 deal

Thoughts?

SSN 8.52 Reading have reiterated that there have been no firm bids for Premier League target Stephen Hunt in spite of the £5million release clause in his contract.

It's almost as if Reading are screaming out for someone to come out and sign him, what with all this reiterating. :?

This from BBC transfer deadline ticker:-

"No word yet from the Premier League on whether the window will be extended as a consequence of the adverse weather conditions. We'll be calling them back later but I think some of their staff had the same trouble getting to work that plenty of people in the office here did."

FFS, they gotta be kidding!

Thoughts on S Hunt? Happy for him to go so long as we have a replacement lined up.

Its pretty rough getting into London and alot of flights have been cancelled as well, I wouldn't be surprised to see them extend the deadline or as suggested have loan details which will turn into permanent ones after medicals. I think the club are getting abit fed up of Hunts agent http://www.tribalfootball.com/reading-coach-slams-agent-wigan-spurs-target-hunt-225764

Transfer talk in and out has been very quiet ? Or is it juts because I have been on holiday and have only just got back ?

The rumours seem to be..

OUT..

Hunt to Spurs £5m - Likely. My view ? - Not unhappy as long as a reasonable replacement comes our way (in addition to Tabb)
Harper to Boro £3m - 50/50. My view ? - No issue, good servant, always been OK, at his best when supported by Sidwell

IN..

Haven't seen a dickie bird about us signing anyone (par for the course as usual)....Madejski/Coppell will give it the usual 'we have a strong squad' etc, etc.

In my opinion we have been looking weaker and weaker lately. The goals have dried up and we aren't creating that many chances especially away from home. When you look at other clubs they seem a lot stronger and have better form. Cardiff, Swansea, Preston. We could fall away if we are not careful, especially if we have injuries. I also think we should be preparing for the PL by buying better equipped players. This would serve to a) maintain our promotion push and b) give us a squad that can compete from the word go.

How many of our current squad would cope / allow us to stay up in the PL

Fed/Hahn - Just about
Rosenior/Armstrong - Just about
None of the midfield other than perhaps Cisse
Doyle - No better than the likes of Marlon King, Bednar, Beattie, Fuller etc (i.e the bottom clubs)
N Hunt - Maybe
Lita - In our 2nd season never looked good enough

Coppell needs players who can offer him a different way of playing. We don't seem to have a plan B. Away from home we look awful at times, even though at Woves and Brum we were magnificent.

According to a source close to the club, Lita's Hummer is snow-chained up and he's heading up north with sHunt and Harps in the back.
