Thought the same thing, then wondered if Pearce could be on his way?

Im sure that Either Pearce is on his way, or we will get a bit of cash for Ingimarsson before his contract is up

Y21_Royal One question - why?

Because we're seriously short of experienced defensive cover?

Have we ever had a Georgian here before?

Not unless he was 42 at the time as that Period ended in 1830

Happy with this. Anyone who went to forest saw how bad Ivar was, he did ok against burnley and made a good late tackle but he's been poor all season. This lad has prem and european experience and is only 28 so has a few years left in the tank. Mills looks a bit raw but I still think he has potential so would happily see these two paired together for a few games. Completely nothing to lose signing and proves BM has confidence to jump into the transfer market when needed. I would still be sorry to see Pearce go, the amount of abuse he gets is cringe worthy at times and he's another hate figure for our fickle support. He has potential and played well towards the end of last season and whilst out on loan. Granted he's made some poor mistakes this season but who hasn't? I would like to see how he plays in a side with confidence before I give up on him.

But look at the number of positions that they say he can play, it sort of makes sense then (anywhere along the back 4 plus midfield).

Plus we only have 4 recognised centre-backs which include Cisse and Pearce......

Is he any good though?

Probably only signed in the hope of selling a few shirts with his name on the back!

Seems like a another intelligent signing to me. Experienced, versatile, and still in his prime. Well done BMc and Nicky.

Experience to go alongside Mills.

I thought Ingi was doing OK recently, but can see the logic of this what with how the injury has affected him and the breakdown in contract negotiations. Very possibly a second good loan signing by MaccyD.

Adds interest to the perennial quiz question - How many Reading players can you name with a Z in their surname.

Text from a Rovers supporting mate "has done a job in the midfield holding role".

That'd make sense - it's a position nobody has yet to make their own. Could pair up with Jem?

Do the Megastore charge per letter for names on shirts?

If so, a potentially good signing for the coffers!
