Dellor loves nothing more than to moan and moan and moan....

He casts a very dark and miserable cloud over the Madejski Stadium. It's depressing listening to him.

Michael Gilkes spoke the most sense on their radio show when Adie Williams chatted to him.

Is this thread about Dellor or Vydra? It's important because both have been disappointing in some way.

The difference is that Dellor is constantly disappointing, without any situational pressure and with intent. Vydra has not been.

He is trying, he is working hard, he is giving the impression he wants to be playing. Missing chances doesn't suggest he has a problem being at the club. In fact, why would it? If he wasn't getting into good situations through work rate and enthusiasm to do so, he would be in the position to miss chances.

To say he's been crap because he doesn't want to be here is a joke. Complete nonsense.

How many times however has that cretin Dellod moaned about being at games, travelling to games or being the subject of shit hospitality at games?

Vydra had one single chance today and he missed it as he didn't look like he had the confidence to hit it left footed. Bkackman probably would have scored as he's left footed, but he ain't here no more.

Drawing parallels with Matejovsky is laughable, but since someone has done so (moronically), saying we have a thing for Czech players, let's go there now.

Anyone with half a brain would have known he was a class act. He was intelligent, his range of passing was quick witted, concise and positive. The old argument of him having to adapt to the players around him was fair, but let's face it, would you buy a Ferrari and cut half the engine out as you could only drive it at 70mph? Some of the morons on here probably would, so let's make it clear that this is a rhetorical question.

Reading were woeful today. Absolutely horrible to watch. They were almost all crap. If Dellor dos turn this in to a Vydra rant then there's no surprise there really. But to be fair to the incessant radio bore that's the equivalent of stepping into the shower to realise there's no hot water left, I haven't heard the coverage.

I was saying this to someone at the game today that the squad we have now is so high in talent (or potential talent) and man for man it could be the most technically gifted squad we've ever had. Good players do have shit games though. Sometimes they have a run of shit games. Sometimes whole squads of good players have runs of shit games. To chuck a cliche at it, form is temporary, class is permanent.

For anyone who remembers this, Bill Shankly once said that even the best title winning teams might only sparkle 4 or 5 times a season. We're certainly not playing like a title winning team right now, but the beauty of the toughest league to get out of in Europe, is that there are 46 competitive matches in a season.

Finally, for an added sense of perspective, we have to remember that we are watching 2nd tier football. If these players were consistently good, they would be playing 1st tier football somewhere.

If Dellor or anyone else for that matter wants to write Vydtmra off, that's their prerogative. Just remember though that we might never have such good players to turn up and watch in the future. For every Matej Vydra, there's a Paul Brayson. For every Chris Gunter there's an Elroy Kromheer.

Radio Berks, being the only free station to listen to Reading on, should have the class to get rid of Dellor who just screams out that he is a negative, clueless football circumnavigator. If they won't do that, he should resign. I'm sure he's a lovely bloke and all that but he sure as hell ain't a football commentator.

I like him he's got passion. Shoots from the hip but Gooding's there to keep things in perspective. Today even Gooding said he's (Vydra's) shot. I would hate to lose this duo for PC commentators who are never controversial. Oh and Brian's after match interview was terrible. Were all doomed!!

Dellor is brilliant at what he does IMO, clearly passionate about Reading and not afraid to speak his mind. BBCRB would be a poorer place without him.

Really hope Vydra comes good, there's a class act in there somewhere, struggling to get out. Him and Sa together up front would seem a very natural combo.

I'm going to go out on a limb here (right leg) and say that Vydra and Kermorgant will strike up a solid partnership and the former will 15+ league goals by the end of the season.

M Brook
sandman What has this lad done to inspire such devotion from our fans? Something about Czech footballers who try little flicks that don't come off that sends you lot weak at the knees.

He is missing chance after chance, week after week, despite so many saying "put him through and provide him with chances and he'll come good". You bring him in with his record at this level at Watford to do one thing and that is to score the goals that will get us promoted. He is not doing it and 12 points off the play offs it's becoming increasingly likely that he will not do it.

Dellor may be strong with the criticism but he, like all of us as Reading fans, genuinely want Vydra to make the difference where he was brought in to make the difference.

Vydra is, usually, a class act. The problem with the Vydra wearing the blue and white hooped shirt is simply that he doesn't want to be here. He wants to, and believes he should, be playing in the Prem with Watford. Like Murray last season, he has no feeling or affinity for our club. He is just another example of why the loan system doesn't work.

Finally the correct answer, the whole Vydra purchase and loan stinks.
Remember that Watford and Udinese are owned by the same people.
So Udinese get a nice lump of English Premier League money, Watford don't want to have to pay his wages, so get us to do it.
Then people question where the money goes, how much of ours went to Russia, we ended up with a big oxf*rd Russian, but it is one way to move money about. And no one's going to question the owner or whistleblow

Tim Dellor is one opinion, the fans listening are hundreds of opinions. Unsurprisingly they aren't all going to agree.

Dellor's opinions on the MKD game seemed to be at odds with pretty much all of the fans who were there. Then he spent much of the time after the game slagging off those who begged to differ with him and claiming that they knew nothing.

What irritates me most is that he is like that irritating little kid at school, continually goading others and then running off to hide behind his big mate (Williams). So he will go on and on about something throughout the game, criticise the manager for not dealing with it, but when it comes to the post match interview with the manager he won't even raise the issue. Instead he leaves it to Williams to say something (which he doesn't often do either).

He says he has a duty to call things as he sees them, fair enough. However, that does not give him licence to bang on about just one thing (Vydra) throughout the game, ignoring everything else that might be happening. And I'd love someone to recreate the situation where Vydra missed yesterday and see Dellor have a go.

Top Flight Partner him with Orlando Sa and the goals will come.

How Brian can keep leaving Orlando out is beyond my understanding!

We will not see anything good out of Vydra until the idiot management at the club start pairing him with someone who leads the line.

The only option we have there is Sa and for some reason Brian refuses to play him and is looking to bring in Yann Cormorant (or some other sea bird) as a replacement.

Tim Dellor is quite right IMO, Vydra runs about a lot and gets stuck in, he shows talent but his main knack of scoring goals has utterly deserted him as he struggles to find a role in the side. Yesterday he missed yet another golden opportunity which is really not acceptable.

And partnering him with the lightweight Piazon and then the utter bellendery of HRK is really not a solution.

Still Brian can only work with what he has and what he has is a total mess thanks to Steve Clarke's unbalanced squad being compounded by his loss of faith in them.

I don't think he was that bad

Yeah, a bee in his bonnet over Vydra but tbf it is one of the top contentious issues about the club right now (you only have to look at this forum to see that) and whichever way he goes he will be at odds with some of the fans.

I do agree though, it is irksome to hear a commentator so animated about an issue during the game only to be soft in the interview afterwards.

But that's not specific to Dellor. That's stations/papers/orgs not wanting to blow their interview rights by upsetting the manager.
