Did anyone else receive a supposedly spurious email from Royals TV saying they’d refund the cost of the season pass?

Didn’t ask for one and despite the email my account hasn’t changed, just wondering if anyone else received similar.

Yes.

I suspect they've tried to do a partial refund for the abysmal service issues for Blackpool and accidentally sent it as a full refund. They correctly quote the last 4 digits of my card.

Either that or the performance issues related to them being hacked and our data being stolen.

The email address seems to match a website for a company that does video hosting services across Europe. Or at least claims to

Yes, received one this morning. Just replied asking why i've been credited the 140.00 back. Everything seems legit regarding the email, so just awaiting a response.

Yes, checking Royals TV Account shows a refund of £2.80 on a season long International Video Pass. The email sent out stating that there would be a £140 refund was clearly a cockup.

It's a shame that the RFC Support Twitter account couldn't be bothered to respond to the queries being raised about this.

It was an ideal opportunity for the club to get good PR i.e. refunding for the bodged Blackpool coverage without being asked, which merited a pro-active announcement in advance. That way people would also have realsied why the email had been sent out and also that the refund figure being quoted was a cock up.

I've got a Monzo account which I use purely for gambling/paying my UK phone bill.

For Royals TV I use my US bank account, so I was actually refunded $31.
