Don't like the back. A hoop at the bottom would better than just a block of blue. IOt also needs more blue at the top so it isn't just a block of white. Blue shoulders at the back maybe.

I don't see why we can't have a hoops design with a panel or large hoop at the top and box for the number to go in. As long as the name and number stand out and arn't on a bacground of two colours surely there isn't a problem. Stupid Stupid rule.

All you'd have to do is get your design approved by the FA/refs association during the design process. Why oh why is this so stupid.

Still the home kit is half really good. The away would be much better as yellow rather than orange. Like that kit a few years back, but it's ok.

There is no rule saying you have to have a panel on a shirt. RFC have just chose to.

Imagine Norwich away at the end of next season with us needing a point to go up. Away end in all orange, how brilliant would that look.

Newbie question here, it still shows our black and grey strip as the third shirt. I realise that the home and away kits are so different that we would likely never need to wear the third kit, but if we did, would it still say KYOCERA on the front like it shows on the club shop online? Or would they make a grey and black shirt with WAITROSE in the event that we had to go to our third shirt?

Fair point and in answer to it, they'll make one with Waitrose on the front.

Love the new home shirt, thhough agree that it should have hoops on the back. Agree with whoever suggested the away kit should be yellow, akin to the strip we wore when we won the Simod Cup. Probably my favourite away kit ever.

Do they? I remember not long ago having to wear a third choice kit in the same circumstances at it still had Westcoast on it.

The white Westcoast chav kit away at Leicester...which had been printed with Kyocera on it.

Platypuss That home kit is awful - really dire. Gold trim?

A gold trim has been added to the home shirt to mark a decade at Madejski Stadium - ten years which Murts has spent solely at Reading.

"The gold comes out really well and some would say it matches my teeth!

"It's a really nice touch. I think the numbers are going to be in gold as well and I think the fans will like it when they get to see it in the flesh."

Murts, if you took the time to look at your shirt before you put it on yesterday you will have noticed that the numbers are infact BLUE with a gold outline.

LOL Reading FC 1998-2008. Mickey mouse justification for the gold trim. Otherwise apart from that really impressed with the kits, the goalkeeper's top looks really nice bar the socks.

I don't have particularly good fashion sense, but I don't like the kit. Too white, no collar and tacky green Waitrose logo. Who said it wouldn't be green!

readingfc13 Colchester's new kit made by Puma has been released recently and I wouldn't be suprised if ours is made to the same template.

With white shorts and hooped socks.

Well done. It's the colchester template for us.

Well done to Rfcfan13 though, who was pretty much spot on which his creation on the template.

And I would say that the back on that design actually looks better than the one we've ended up with.

robb the royal
AF1 it has to buy fa regulations be a single colour panel on the back (so that referees can read it), so that presumably means it will be all blue, what will be interesting is if theres any sponsorship on the back (ala the old kyocera slogan on the old championship shirt), if it does and we get promoted this season, it means a new shirt again next year.

You mean those FA regulations that many other clubs completely ignore and, which if they exist, the FA live up to their name by doing F*ck All about!

Are Colchester Utd joining in with the celebrations then?!

As Rfcfan13 highlighted - it's a Puma template.

Southbank Old Boy The back is totally white bar a little bit of blue at the bottom.

You can see it on the shops website
