Not gonna lie, I'm tempted to buy this too...

Can you PM me the link? I had a look at their site but it only showed me the green hooped version.

If your son is young then it is a good idea.
If it is your idea then no.
If your son is 30 you should ask Jimmy Hill :D

The Waitrose logo on the home shirt needs to be completely in one hoop not across two. Personally I don't like the colours of the away shirt, but actually think the idea is pretty good. What about yellow and red ala the old hooped away shirt... lion in yellow?

No that would be way too garish on second thoughts... I just don't like the shade for the away shirt much... hmm good effort if under 17.

As a home kit yeah, I like it and the white shorts and socks in particular, but that away kit is horrendous and your son deserves to be grounded for coming up with that.

Thats fair - but if Reading do go up - you need a back panel anyway...

I didn't think that was the case?

Sunderland haven't got a back panel. It just seems something clubs do that pisses off fans. (Newcastle, Wigan, Reading to name three)

Posted in General Football in the 2011/12 kits thread, but worth sharing here as we've covered this before.

Interesting to see Crystal Palace offered their fans (as Sheff Weds did) the chance to vote for their home and away kits, and they (Wednesday) are Puma manufactured.

I know many here would like some influence on our kit choices.

Am I right in thinking Puma only have one year left with us? I hope so, their kits have been pretty naff.

There is me thinking it is only an option for televised games. Irrespective of the league.

Seems lots of Puma clubs here and abroad are offering kit choices for next year, Will RFC follow suit?

Bit late in the day now.

I like how some other clubs play in thier new home shirts on the last home game of each season to show it off and promote it, yet we never do that either. It always feels very last minute and delayed with Reading.

Vote on web site + a choice on the POTS form at the penultimate home game. It's tight but do able.

It's not like we announce our kit until mid-way through the summer anyway.

LOL at the away kit. Brilliant!

As for Puma - I think their kits have been slightly better. The few before that from 2002-05 looked a bit cheapy to me. But I REALLY hate the fact we play in the same kit as other clubs with them. Isn't that the whole point of it! Fair enough it probably helps aid production and allows them to make them better quality but with a run of some 10,000 to sell you would think a proper individual design would be good.

Sadly with cash tight we always see the kit as a way to get money in, whether from the bizarre KIT@ people or Puma's corporate visions.

I don't mind the change away from hoops. As posted above you can't vary much if you do that. I like to remember each season by reference to the kit we had, so don't mind individual changes. You're not forced to buy one every season. With the basic blue and white design, you can wear your kit for years!
