I'd imagine the club not releasing the new kit has put a few people off

Interestingly, in comparison, after we failed to go up in Coppell's final season only 11,000 renewed, so perhaps an end figure of 13k, given the failures of last season, wouldn't be too bad.

13-14k by the end of the process. not bad imo

although it does show the damage done to growth by madejski cutting the investment off for a few years

Ian Royal Just officially become an STH. A slightly dissapointing twelve thousand ish renewed and expecting about twelve and a half to thirteen thousand by the start of the season according to the guy I spoke to.

How did you get one - didn't think they were available for newbies till Wednesday?

12000? That's pretty rubbish tbh, expected more!

renewal deadline was 28th, I just logged on to the website, went to the ST page and called the number in massive font at the top of the page. No probs.

If we had fewer renewed last time I guess it's not that bad. The whole club to me feels very exciting right now, so I'm surprised it isn't a little better. Although I guess loads of STHs didn't actually turn up last season it was so bad, judging from the empty seats.

I also think a lot of people are keeping their powder dry for the moment. They know they'll be able to buy tickets for any games they want to go to, and if the first half of the season looks promising they'll pile in to buy half STs at Xmas.

Exactly, if we start well we'll be averaging >19k fairly easily I'd have thought

Add to that I believe that there were a number of Companies that bought ST's for entertainment in the Premier League that probably haven't renewed (also explaining the number of empty seats at some games).

I wasn't expecting to be able to move so freely, but the kids and I managed to move from our spot in Y26 slightly behind the goal-line to Y25 with no problems. We were even offered a few other sets of four seats. My eyes have good days and bad days, and some days I struggle to make out who is who when we play towards the North Stand, so this is much better for me, and we still stay within the noise which we didn't want to give up. Sadly we lose the company of BenReading and royalexile. The kids were quite taken with Ben's drunken songs that no-one else would join in with.

Yea but I was told by the club I can't buy a new ST until Wednesday when they go to general sale :-/

I asked the TO today if they knew roughly how many season tickets had been renewed and they said approximately 13,000 currently, and they anticipate a total sale of 14,000-14,500 once the tickets have gone on general sale.

Nice to see there's a consistent message.

If we can get to 14k that will be impressive IMO.

Surprised anyone's being allowed to give out any info at the moment though tbh

Well to be fair they're only estimations. In the Prem we sold our maximum 18,000, and they expect around 4,000-4,500 drop away. Might be more, might be less. They'll all be clambering for half season tickets in January if we're in the top two anyway.

I was at the club at around 3pm moving my seat and was told 'around 12,500' STs had been sold so far.

So "approximately 13,000 currently" is approximately then.. or did you want the chap I spoke to to do a full count whilst the queues grew outside?

Rounding to the nearest 500 > than rounding to the nearest 1000.
