Well, it was going to be Marylebone station after the Warrington - because I can't be arsed to walk over the road to the Globe - but the prospect of running in to RL has made me go all of a quiver....

There's a Wetherspoons inside the complex next to Finchley Road tube station, only one stop away from Wembley

Can't understand why so many Reading 'fans' seem to think that drinking on match day is so important.
I reckon half of the people at Charlton yesterday would not of gone if they could not get a drink.
If I wanted to have a few beers on a Saturday I would rather just stay in the local rather than some overpriced pub in London, then spend the whole game pissing and probably not giving a toss whether we win or lose!
Get the impression that most of you would swap a day out at Wembley for at least a whole season in League 1.
Any one would think that match days were the only time you are allowed out.

Change that to any fans as it's universal.

For me away football and drinking go together.

There's nowt wrong with that and if you think there is then I can't understand it. It's like asking why people drink at comedy nights, or on stag doos, or any event.

Is that why they let you take your drink to your seat?

The footballs almost irrelevant sometimes, I go to matches for the 'getting proper cunted' opportunities.

Nah mate. Don't touch a drop. I go to marvel at the sublime footballing skill that's so often on show.

If you don't know what Rumblestix are, then quite clearly you aren't a proper fan. Every true fan would have them whilst wearing his/her replica shirt over his replica fleece.

There's a great pie and mash shop in London. Unfortunately I can't remember the name or where it is, but it's really decent stuff

You and Wiz should team up to write a travel book.

There's another one in Chapel Market in Angel. Possibly slightly less of a trek.
