heard that there has been a big increase in free under 7 ticket sales, which will make the mid week match atmosphere somewhat muted when the kids are all tucked up in bed.

LWJ Calling bullshit.

Didn't someone claim ST sales were down on last year before BM was sacked? Doubt they've risen that quickly especially with no manager in place..

I'd call bullshit on the ITKer not the email from the club to be fair.

Although obviously they're counting ones people want a refund on...

Jesus. I know I shouldn't step in to this 'tard-off but I can't resist.

There has been no increase in ST sales. They're not on sale yet ffs.

More people have renewed their seats than renewed their seats at the same point last season.

Which, tbf, is nearly as unbelievable as the bellendery on display in this thread.

You're half right.

Yes it's a like for like comparison of sales up to this and last year's renewal deadline, but it does include supporters who have bought who didn't have one in 2014/15.

It's not as high as 12,000, but it's certainly something to be optimistic about with a few months still to go.

So by "half right" you mean "right".

Right?

No, because season tickets have been on sale since the end of the season.
You can't buy ST for seats reserved for renewers but you can buy a seat that wasn't a ST last season.
So up until Friday there was a combined number of renewed ST and new ST that was higher than the combined number on renewal deadline day last season.
Now we may have sold lots of new ST after deadline day last season so if those people don't renew then our final figure may be well down by the time the season starts, but who knows.

Have not renewed.

No drama, just found the commitment a real drag last season and found myself looking forward to non-football weekends rather than the other way round.

I had a email from reading football club we sold more season ticket renewed. over the period it was nearly 12,000. , sales up from last season ok and 7 years can watch the game in the eveing and won't be in bed you idiot

We never took my nephew to evening kick offs on a school night, we first tried taking him on a friday evening kick off and he was absolutely shattered the next day so that pretty much confirmed he couldn't do evening matches and be up for school the next day.

Abandoning my pompouscunt persona: this is exactly how I felt two years ago when I didn't renew for the first time in nearly 20 years. There are just other things I want to do with my time now. 2 or 3 away games a season is more than enough for me now.

oyster card away games are more than enough for me.

I did, rather confusingly, just get an email thanking me for renewing my season ticket despite not having one for a good 10 years

Yes, the online ticketing system.

It's not providing me with such an option Ian. Any other ideas?

It definitely did when I was moving my ST... you may need to have not bought a ST and log in to the ticketing service going through the process of selecting a seat... I now can't get back to the same place because I've got one, I think.

Club still yet to even bother to respond to my complaint.

I think they have until Friday before they miss their second, last and pretty poor level of service.

Twitter is the most effective form of complaining as it's in the public domain.

What was your complaint?

Maybe they're still chuckling to themselves about it?

I doubt it, the complaints that provoke chuckles aren't the ones that get left 'til the last moment for a response. They get done straight away.
