Was a lovely idea but problem is the poor implementation on the website etc. Waiting for an email back, holding onto slender hope

Ascotexgunner To be expected I guess.....
A Puma football shirt that looks the business + limited addition + incredible price = Queues, website crash, unhappy people.
Sounds like they really didn't think this one through.....Great idea though.

Does it look the business though? It's red. Our colours are blue and white hoops.

Should have just been a reworked home shirt with a red nose instead of Carabao sponsor

There is as much red in the badge as there is blue and white...

It was a great idea well and truly cocked up. How many Nobbers actually got one? It should have been 1 per person, some people on Twitter have 9 ordered! Asked if I can buy one off them, surprise surprise no response. Hope all fans refuse to pay the scalpers any more than the original fiver

I've never understood why there is so much red in our badge.

For a while club branded stuff had blue replacing the red, on scarves and the like. I thought that looked better.

Confirmation email received. Hopefully they haven't taken out multiple payments.

I experienced the same problem everyone had ordering it online. Was literally 9.01 when went on and plenty in stock. Got to check out and that when the problems started. Finally got a order through 10 mins later. But still no e mail confirmation. Just checked statement, £80 odd been taken out!! Complete shambles

It looks a very classy away shirt.......but that is a good idea......I hate that horrible logo we have had polluting our shirt for 3 seasons now. Cant wait for that to go. I bet bloody Carabao probably had some ridiculous clause that they had to have their logo on that shirt for a reason.

This whole thing has been a bit odd from start to finish.

If the purpose was to raise money for charity then why not auction them off on ebay?

If the purpose was to give Reading fans a chance to get a top cheaply, then why not produce more and only sell them to people with membership numbers?

If it would cost the owners too much to produce more - then why not use royalty points to decide who can buy them? Or have some sort of lottery?

Well done RFC. Great initiative, taken by the fans and sold out by lunchtime. Job done.

I did think the sell out may happen. Its a shame really as there's a lot of disappointed people. A great idea let down by a poor guess on how many they'd sell. As mentioned, they could easily have sold that amount at £10 or £15, and therefore making more for Comic relief

Those kits basically going to be collectors items now

CavershamRoyal
RoyalBlue Another great initiative messed up by piss poor application.

Got the 2 shirts in basket and to check out only for the payment system to fail (rejected card).

By the time got I got back to try again (having tried three cards) - sold out!

Also women's shirts didn't appear till later but size 12 immediately sold out.

Yep tried to buy one and payment just kept failing. I eventually got an 'Order Placed' message on the sixth go, but no email confirmation and no idea if it actually went through properly or not. Seemed to sell out within a minute for some sizes. Really nice idea, but probably ended up frustrating a lot of fans.

That's what happened to me too. I spoke to someone at the club and he told me my order had gone through so fingers crossed for both of us mate!

How long until they are being sold on ebay for £20 - I want one and was not willing to deal with queuing in any format today.

They billed you for 16 shirts?

LOL. Classic RFC. Apparently people were walking out of the mega store with 30+ shirts, whilst people were left in the queue with nothing. How hard would it have been to limit it to 4 per person or less. ShambLOLes.
