DelBoyRodders Okay, lets's see how relaxed you all are if you still haven't received yours by Wednesday or Thursday of next week. After all you still have 48 hours or so before the first game. That's nothing!

Perfectly, because I can call the club or email them about the problem and bring some ID to pick up a replacement at the TO half an hour before KO.

Or I can shit the bed like you two weeks before the season starts every year.

Hmm, which should it be.

But chances are there would be a huge queue at the ticket office half an hour before kick-off as loads of others would be doing the same as their's won't have arrived either. Why should we have to do that?
And by the way it would take the club at least 48 hours to even reply to an email.

Yeah, there is a known crisis with 12,000 season tickets and the club are taking 48 hours to respond to emails. Because that would 100% happen. They’ll probably unplug all the phones as well, just for the lols.

What would actually happen is that the club would send out an email/letter depending on your GDPR preferences, confirming an issue and then post paper tickets for the Sheff Wednesday game 48hrs before.

Only if there's a massive systemic F up. Which there isn't and won't be.

Oh no. The imposition of having to queue for a bit at one game because something went wrong. In your imagination that is.

Get a grip.

I do have a hint of nerves, mainly because the ticket site doesn't seem sure where I've renewed or not.

My Loyalty Points details show I have.

If I choose "season tickets" from the menu under my name, it shows my seat with a status of "not renewed"

If you look at your history it will show that you have renewed your 2018/19 season ticket, which you did when you bought your 2019/20 season ticket. Of course, you have not renewed your 2019/20 season ticket yet.

Had a email from the club as I noticed that as well. The reason it says not renewed as I’m told it is the 20/21 season tickets and the wording is not clear. Why they put that on there I don’t know

Just received mine this AM.
No visible chip on tickets ?
Is it now embedded.

A note with the letter sent with the ticket would save the Ticket Office some grief ?
No discounts from China ?

Had an email from the club. Chips weren’tdelivered On time so they sent the cards out and we need to pick up the chips from the TO On Saturday.
They ask everyone to bring a little bit of Blutac with them....

Just read back several pages-no chips on new cards.

And there was me thinking the electronic chip activated the ticket entry turnstile.

So can some techie ,describe what on the card activates turnstile ?

Just curious thats all.

The turnstile elf looks deep into your soul and if it finds RFC embedded lets you in.

The STs had no visible chips on them until the last couple of years, the chips were presumably all about the cash holding facility that never seemed to take off.

Naughty - you just know some people will actually believe that. Even more had you said that the TO would super glue them on!

I suspect the cards work on MiFare technology that has the clever bit embedded inside. If they stop working it's usually because they've been flexed a bit too often.
