This Spanish side are suprising me tonight. The quality in this game is the best in the tournament so far.
I've been disappointed in the group stages. Football hasn't been great. But now only the best teams are left and the quality has gone up several notches.

Would like to see England win it.

Our lady at left back is getting utterly rinsed out there tonight, no surprised they are double ending her there

But that was a stonewall penalty to England, the lady got smashed into the box

I was gonna post that. Daley has had a mare. The goal was her fault, lunging in like that.
Agree, that was a pen.
England have got lucky at the back a couple of times.
Don't know where the goal is coming from.

Agreed, kudos - turning it on when the nation is watching. Genuinely playing without fear.

It’s nice to hear an opponent’s national anthem played at a Wembley home game without English dickheads booing over it.

Glad that Toney got called up, gives a different dimension to Kane

Still don't understand how the oxf*rd Shaw and Maguire are in the squad, and Phillips has played 14 seconds of football all season

Not really been paying much attention to England recently - who has obviously missed out to squeeze these three into the squad?

It's not simply that they are in the squad, Maguire in particular has rarely let England down, it's that they are in the squad when there are obvious and glaring omissions that make sense from a form perspective, when their inclusion does not.

Ben White and Jack Harrison can rightly wonder what on earth they need to do to get a call-up. White in particular must be confused, given he has missed out in a squad that includes 12 defenders.

Sancho and White, Rico Hendry has played well and there are probably another 5 defenders ahead of Shaw (Tyrike Mitchell from palace)

Wasn't it Southgate who said he choses players on current form and not name?

Only reason I can see for White not being in is that he's been playing as a right back for Arsenal this season and if there's one position we have an abundance of players its at right back. That said I still don't get why Maguire is in the squad ahead of him on current (and last 12 months) form or Conor Coady come to think of it. Was going to question Dier coming back in at his age but it turns out that at 28 he's about 5 years younger than I thought he was.

It doesn’t really matter though, these upcoming games are nothing more than meaningless glorified friendlies so he could pick the Sunderland or Wigan teams for all I care.

And despite what he’s said previously, like all England managers he’ll already know 90-95% of his squad for the Qatar hypocrisy. It’s only injury that’ll make a difference (and good luck expecting any player hoping to be destined for Qatar to be playing at 100% in the weeks leading up to departure).
