You've got to have a real agenda not to acknowledge that Sterling has been really good running in behind, leading to opportunities to switch up the play and creating many of our best chances.

Sterling and Phillips our best performers. Mings fine despite my agenda against him. Walker the weakest.

Gonna eat some pie.

Phillips has been excellent and he totally made that goal through positive action and skill.

Delightful.

England's best player by a mile. Broken up Croatia's midfield and created chances.

But perversely he’s let a lot of things go, where I’m sure other refs will award free kicks in future games

In any case wouldn’t it be coming next door, rather than home?!

Satisfactory, professional, uninspiring.

Clean sheet, Mings and Phillips big (surprising) pluses.

Sterling was ok, which was also a plus, but I’m not having the big love-in.

On we go.

in agreement apart from the however you describe “uninspiring” bit.

Thought our jostling, hassling, dispossessing and tackling was somewhat ‘inspiring’...some great work in all areas of the pitch, the goals will come, but without the aforementioned, they could be wasted.
