Have I missed anyone? Real shame that Roy Keane and Gianluca Vialli aren't involved IMHO. On the plus side, it looks like they've both avoided Leonardo.

So, who's your money on as best pundit?
I'm going for:
Best overseas: Poyet
Best homegrown: Murphy

Yeah, cheers for that. Not much dampens World Cup fever but those list do. Wonder if any of the homegrown pundits* have done any research this time round that involves players that don't play in the Premier League or Champions League?

* I'm excluding Pat Nevin cos I like him and I got his autograph when he played for Clyde and had a pre-season match at Aberystwyth.

Shearer pressing his case early doors last night with "you won't know about Witsel, but he's good too."

Rio Ferdinand was surprisingly cogent and enthusiastic.

Looking forwrd to seeing what's up with Fabio Cannavaro.

Going to miss the sight of Keane looking like he wants to jump over the table and kill Chiles.

Where the devil is Marcel Desailly? He's got the voice of an angel.

Well, I won't see any of those ITV pundits in action, which is nice

Predictable phrases:

"That's why Rooney is so important to this England team" - As he scores via his shin from 2 yards.

"I think it's difficult to compare this Brazil side with the flair teams of say 1970 or 82"

"I can't believe they didn't close Messi down sooner, we know what he can do to you"

"You look at this squad and wonder where the goals will come from and how they lack any real quality" - Meaning the squad doesn't have any Premier League players in it or the one they do have is only a sub.

"And of course, he was outstanding for Liverpool last season"

I like Glenn Hoddle and Roberto Martinez. Hopefully ITV will be using them more than they do John Terry :| .

Hoddle is awful, how many more offensive remarks does he have to make before getting booted off our screens?

Surprised ITV've not brought back Big Ron and signed up Richard Keys.

"Class" is a world seldom used in conjunction with that broadcaster but they've done even themselves a disservice here.

Seedorf and Martinez are the pick of the bunch there.

Are Iran professionals? I like it* when they patronizingly state the players full-time job, or a fact that they clearly didn't learn first hand.

"Karim Sharif with a neat pass to the former sheep herder Ahmed Belhamed"

"Omar Ahmadi-Jihad looks like he's warming up to come on. The big number nine currently plies his trade in the Saudi third-tier."

* want to kill myself.

I quite like a chuckle at Brad Friedel because despite playing for what seems like 50+ years he still knows nothing about football.

List's a bit of a sausage fest, but I though Gabbi Logan was out there too?
