It would be like the funniest ultimate anticlimax if Greece and Switzerland grubbed their way 1-0 & 0-0 all the way to play in the Final.

Anyone but the Argies would be tolerable in at least some way, it would be difficult for the authorities to keep a lid on the whole thing if they got their way to having a Brazil v Argentina final - riots, Neymar v Messi, more riots, the pressure on the poor referee, more riots.

Uruguay & Germany are the next two least favourite winners for me, better than the Argies...........but still.

If I had a fantasy choice from here on in Belgium v Nigeria would be nice in the final because 1) it would piss the S.Americans off immensely 2) they've both got some exciting forward players and would be an open game 3) the usual and predictable axis of power would be broken.

I have the cash on Argentina, and I would like to see the Arg/Messi to show the h8ers.

However I could live with Germany winning it. Lovely firm, talented young men.

Brazil don't do it for me. I find the mythology a bit suffocating.

Germany, purely because I only have to go back 3 generations to find some German heritage. Other than that, it's all the Cs, Chile, Colombia and Costa Rica. All doing well with a good mix of flair and solidity.

Who don't I Want to win it? Brazil all hype and cliche yet they have delivered nothing out of the ordinary.

It would be nice for a european team to win in south america but would equally be great to see someone win the cup who hasn't won it before. So would opt for either Germany or Columbia.

Ok now that the US are out for me it is Costa Rica and France. Costa Rica because now they are the biggest underdog, and from CONCACAF. France because it seems to annoy a great deal of people, for whatever reason, when they do well in this tournament...
