Winston Biscuit Hoping the 2nd round of games will be better than the first as the do-or-die element kicks in for a few nations

Finland game was great

Walex Turkey 2nd best so far bar the Dutch game

I thought Wales were superb yesterday, and frankly, should have won by more than 2-0.

And it was brilliant to see a player in the dying seconds of a game NOT trying to keep it in the corner (which is one of my personal bugbears), but trying to score.

If they finish second (which is highly likely) then they play the team that finishes 2nd in the Belgium, Denmark, Russia, Finland group in Amsterdam, and as Belgium are going to win that Group, Wales shouldn't fear any of the others.

Jumping WAY ahead on so many levels, there is a possibility of a Wales v England semi at Wembley..............now that WOULD be an occasion!

Doctor who treated Eriksen on the pitch said he was out for 30 seconds before they got him back again

Kleinefeld said he asked Eriksen, "Well, are you back with us?"

The doctor said Eriksen answered, "Yes, I am back with you" and, "Damn, I'm only 29 years old".

 And I thought I was too young to have a heart issue ... and I was much, much older than Eriksen at the time and not a professional athlete.

Just goes to show that the workings of the human body (well, any animal really) remain an enigma at times, for all that we know and have advanced

Yep agreed

Thought they were really good
And not just Bale and Ramsey
Moore was a handful. James caused them lots of problems too
And Joe Morrell popped up in the right place on numerous occasions

They did fluff some chances though and can’t afford to do that against better teams

29 games undefeated now for Italy, and they've won the last 10 in a row without conceding. Approaching Brazil's all-time record of 35 games without defeat, although obviously will take some doing for Italy given that we are in a major tournament.

If Italy beat Wales 2-0 then I believe Switzerland would have to beat Turkey by at least 3 to get second place. While I can see Italy and Switzerland both winning their last games I can’t see either the Swiss being good enough to bag athenee requisite number of goals or that Wales get taken apart by Italy.

A stat read out last night was that Switzerland have never scored more than 1 goal in a Euro's finals game - and last night was their 15th game in Euro's finals....

Not quite as awful, but before this championships, Italy had played 38 European Championship finals games without scoring more than two. And as always when records are broken, they've now done it twice in a week.

Was Yarmolenko injured last season? Only 15 games for such a good player seems crazy. Always rated him.

Yeah had horrible luck with injuries. He's a top player, could have a decent season in the Premier League if he can stay fit although I wouldn't be surprised to see West Ham cash in if he continues to have a good Euros due to the injuries.

Injuries it is in, shame, he really is a top player. They could cash in on him if he continues his good form in the tournament, but if he can stay fit he would be an excellent asset for West Ham, 31 as well so not young but not too old either.

Think he'd fit in well at Spurs, tbh. A front 3 of him, Son and Kane would be very very decent.

They scored two goals in about 10 minutes and were all over them at the time. Grow up.

Two goals in ten minutes does not a thrashing make, let alone a bloody good one. Grow a pair
