I so want to celebrate but I can't. Waited all my life for this and all the disappointments we have had.
This world cup is just so wrong.

45 years of pain for me has just ended. Very emotional. We didn’t play well and Ukraine were unlucky but after all the agonising near misses down the decades I’m thrilled.

Great news for England, makes an already easy group even easier. Seals our qualification for the knockout stages.

Another easy draw for England to fluke their way to the latter stages of a World Cup then.

Seeing as OMA has a track record of being wrong about everything (usa election where he said he is an expert and biden will never win/covid and there being no lockdown/tomori being in the England squad and 5 others)

We will finish bottom with 0 points

Yes, you can do what England do best......flatter to deceive, and then the moment you come up against quality...crumble like you always do under Southgate.

You raise a good point actually, having a really easy group isn't always a good thing at a major tournament.

Indeed it isn't.....some of these teams you think are easy bring you down to their level.....like Scotland.

Feel for Ukraine. Much the better side yet lost to a deflected goal, a ton of blocks/saves from Hennessey and more awful refereeing (non penalty award and red card for James)

Wales have the making of a decent team but are so poor in midfield, Allen and Ramsey are dreadful

I feel physically sick after watching that, how the people that got interviewed could say deserved the win is taking the piss.

tbf Ramsey and Allen are getting older and have to do all Bale's running just in case they get a freekick within 30 yards of goal. Lolz at Bale for getting the captain's armband back on for the post match celebration.

Yep fair comment. Ukraine are also very strong in midfield. That’s their strength. They were clearly the better side but we kept them out and had some very good chances at the other end. They should have had a pen though. However we have had rotten decisions in the past so its time it went our way. Just a shame it had to be against Ukraine.

Yep, Wales had the better chances. Ramsey and Bale really should have scored and finished the game off.
Will be interesting to see which club gives Bale a six month pre-world cup training camp.

It makes sense.....and yet it doesn't. The Championship is way more physical, and players get away with more. Definitely a higher risk of injury....not what he or Wales will want.
