I'm not sure playing two up front is really helping South Korea's swamped midfield and defence.

Will put a tenner on Croatia to beat Brazil. Brazil are unstoppable tonight, but Croatia are just the sort of talented and wily team to cause an upset. Prolly get good odds.

It’d be a shame for the tournament, of course, Brazil are a class above.

Might be worth having a bet on the bookings as Croatia will be much more cynical than S. Korea

As wonderful as Brazil have been I find it difficult to like them this evening purely down to the rehearsed team dance routine celebration. Should be an instant yellow card for all participants for time wasting. A far worse offence than taking a shirt off.

They’re looking good, but…..this is sub-standard opposition

Loosen up mate, football is meant to be enjoyment and Brazil are giving enjoyment to billions tonight showing top class invention and skill.
Long may it continue or at least for the next 45 minutes-I even saw Richarlison smile which has to be a first.

Zip Where are all of the Southgate moaners?

Exactly. Where are they? Three weeks ago he was the most unpopular man in the country.

Nothing to moan about. Southgate is achieving what is expected with England, think any decent manager would have done the same thus far. He got brickbats rightly for the cr@p way the team played v the US and he’ll get them again if he doesn’t get the approach right for the France game and the performance stinks. The issue with him from previous tournaments is adopting an overly safety first approach in certain games which I hope will be different this time round.

Of course many previous England managers have failed to get England deep into tournaments. The Nations League games are/were of little consequence and the moaning when England lost wholly disproportionate.

Southgate should be judged on performances at major tournaments. I also totally disagree that he has adopted an overly safety approach in certain games. He certainly didn’t when England lost to a Croatian side whose midfield gradually got on top in the second half. Against Italy they were playing a team at the time who were just bang in form. Even then. They only lost on pens.

I think they will match France on Saturday and reckon the game will go all the way to pens.

I like the Nation's League. Think it's a good idea. Better competition.
As far as England goes I had no idea Henderson was in the squad. Thought he had been rubbish for Liverpool and shouldn't be in the squad.....then I heard he scored last night.....oh well.

75% chance that Brazil win

1 / (10^-(195.6/400) + 1) = .75509

so about 25% (3/1) for Croatia progressing

Predictions and stats are meaningless

again not for the specific purpose of calculating odds from the expected win probability

This is for progression...1x2 over 90 mins will be a lot bigger for Croatia

They're doing it because racist pundits in Spain told Vinicius to stop dancing and "acting like a monkey". If it pisses off those type of people then I say they should dance as much as they like.

Brazil are a very talented but cocky bunch - they’ll now think they can do what they did for 30 mins against SK to everyone.

That sort of believe-the-hype cockiness will be their undoing.

ALL celebrations are shite - just shake hands and run back to the centre circle like real men.

Bunch of dancing pussies.
