Zammo lol at that Ghana pen

Utterly dreadful penalty, really don’t know what Ayew was thinking. Run up (more like a ponderous walk up) was ridiculous and easily telegraphed to the keeper what way to go. To be fair to Ayew though the unsportsmanlike delaying tactics by Uruguay can’t have helped.

On the brightside Ronaldo has just gifted South Korea an equaliser

Have never liked either of the Ayews going back to when we were supposedly interested in both of them.
Both are divers so was delighted to see the casual penalty missed.

I don't mind Uruguay, for such a small country they do produce some really good players.

Shame Portugal are through but good on South Korea making it (currently) and dumping Uruguay out.

Great to see the two games not starting the 2nd half at more or less the same time

And the whining and continual arguments from the Uruguayans really doesn’t endear them to anyone.

So just Loum left of Reading’s trio. He may actually get some game time against England on Sunday too as Gueye is suspended.

All the pundits think it was a stonewall penalty.

Also - that is the best i have seen Baba play. He was excellent in that second half. Also his corner delivery was excellent.

Apart from once in the first half where he did his usual tucking in too far towards the centre-backs and leaving loads of room for a cross I agree that he played well.

Couple of late penalty shouts going against them, in fairness one looked decent

That was a great goal by Serbia. Mitrovic is built like a bullock.

The second Serb goal was hara kiri by the Swiss.

But they’ve just equalised, good.

2-2 before half time.

Good game 3-2 to the Swiss into injury time. The Swiss have a bit of firepower and are difficult to break down, hopefully they can frustrate Portugal and see off Ronaldo.

Thought he was excellent too

And the penalty? Probably given in the Prem but exactly the sort of thing that shouldn't be a penalty imo. He clearly went looking for it. Felt the touch, then threw himself forward.

All kicking off towards the end.
Mitrovic doing his best to be sent off.

Hey vision.. I was at target the other day and saw they had marks and Spencer stuff at the entrance.. pretty neat. Mostly just Christmas biscuits/cookies/shortbread hot chocolate/cocoa and Percy pig things. But it’s a little partnership for Christmas!!

Target and M&S are not exactly who I'd think of as bedfellows but I'll have to check it out. Weirdly though after just over a year here its the Missus who seems to miss British stuff much more than I do.

And tbf Portugal got an extremely dubious one against them on Monday too, without that they’d have gone through on goal difference

Their reactions were pretty embarrassing but I do feel they’ve been somewhat let down by VAR these last couple of games
