North Korea hosting the world cup would be insane!

imagine your games being scheduled in Pyongyang and you have to arrive 3 hours early to watch a military procession and applaud the dear leader!

Uruguay–Argentina–Chile–Paraguay would be skillz.

Think Australia and NZ would also be pretty decent.

All for South America, but Paraguay couldn't host a piss up in a brewery.

This would involve a lot of getting up really early. I remember Japan and Korea back in 2002 forcing pints down at 8am, wasn't nice.

Aus/NZ sounds nice but yeah time differences suck. A Caribbean World Cup would be fun. Have a stadiums on a different islands. I guess auto qualification wouldn’t work, unless they have a joint carribean team.

Yeah the time difference would suck for Aus/NZ, but to be fair, it sucks for them almost every tournament, so only seems fair... :D

Would also be fairly decent timings for the incredibly large Asian TV market.

If it does go to AUS/NZ and assuming it goes to 4 games a day (as this WC is) given the extra teams involved - then you would likely be looking at kick-offs at 2am, 5am, 8am and 11am UK time.

Yep *out* for that, nice as a one off novelty but wouldn't relish a tournament of it.

I’d be in for that. Shame 2022 wasn’t switched there instead of allowing the corruption to stand.

You have to admire Morocco for their persistence. How many bids is it now? I think a Morocco/Algeria joint bid would be a winner.
