Simon's Church Am I the only one who feels sorry for him?a bit

I have a perfectly rational hatred for what Chelsea stand for, so I find it very difficult to have sympathy for anyone who chooses to join them, especially when they are quite good and leave Liverpool to do so.

I have no sympathy. He has shown how good he can be in the past and chooses to no longer commit himself 100% to the game now.

BenReadingFC That miss was on par with Steve Stone.

That was a classic. I bet Rosentall will sleep easier tonight it's now the 2nd worse miss of all time.

Does nobody realise that Phil Dowd (yes, the same man who gave Swansea two penalties at Wembley) absolutely oxf*rd up here? Two of Manure goals should have been given as offside and the penalty was a blatant dive by Nani. Not to mention that Chelsea could have been given a penalty when Torres was shoved over.

Linesmans job to rule the offsides, can't blame Dowd for that. It wasn't a dive, there was slight contact, a soft penalty to give that could so easily not been given.

Straws. Clutching.

Clutch this then, is it a coincidence that Dowd is in charge of match where the linesman is conveniently letting two offsides through. I thought the "officals" were a team and that they work together?

I dunno, there's something dodgy about Dowd and I don't like him. At all.

I would say that the difference is that Torres had worked himself with the ball to get himself into a position to score. Church was massively lucky to have the ball drop into his lap for him to score. There are many times that I have played myself into a position to find myself knackered and feebly hit the ball to miss the goal. Though not as wide open as Torres, I must confess!
