I think "superb" is a bit OTT.
They deserved to win the game sure enough but with less than 40% possession at home it may well produce a good result but I think I would reserve my "superb" for more than a home win by the odd goal against a team that hadn't scored away from home for 3 months.

greed!

Would reserve 'superb' for the likes of Watford's recent win against Liverpool. Although
it remains to be seen if they can repeat that against a top side.

Liverpool themselves would be a top side if they beat sides that weren't top sides.
Leicester will be interesting for Liverpool shortly as they currently are THE top side.

Wouldn't it be great if it was Spurs and Arsenal fighting it out for top spot come the end of the season?

Mind you, going top now without Cazorla, Sanchez, Welbeck, Wilshere and Coquelin really does suggest it's Arsenal's year.

Barcelona can probably help them towards that goal in a few weeks' time.

I think it will be the biggest LOL in history if Arsenal don't win it now. City are awful, Leicester wont be there and looking at their performance at Liverpool they may struggle for top 4 now, tonight is their defining season game, Man U are sh*te, Spurs look really good and could go close which leaves Arsenal.
Arsenal have a good squad and no excuse for failing now.

Not really. But then that's football fans isn't it.

It would be a huge achievement for Arsenal to win the league this season. I can't help but have a soft spot for a club that has stuck with its manager through bad times and may be about to reap rewards again. They play football that is terrific to watch, and as RR notes, are top of the league with a lot of players missing.

'No excuse for failing' sums up why managers get the sack after six months and players are earning £300k a week. Too much 'now culture'.

This is patent tripe. For starters, what if City stop being awful?

Whilst I would like to see Arsenal win it, as Darren Fletcher was pointing out at the beginning of 606 on Saturday, they have the most difficult fixture list in terms of away games left of the potential champions. From memory (and this might not be 100% right), there's trips to Spurs, City, Liverpool, United, Chelsea, Stoke and Everton all in there so it's not quite Arsenal's to throw away as many would have you believe.

How would it be such a big achievement for a club that big. 41mill on Ozil, 35 mill on Sanchez.
City have been bumbling and stumbling and Arsenal are still only a couple of points ahead. If I was a fan of that club I'd be livid at being charged stupid money and being happy with only top 4 every season whilst the club profits and has (if its to be believed) 200mill sitting in the bank. Their sitting top now and Wenger still talks of buying noone but some Egyptian unknown. If Reading were in that position I'd be fuming if we didn't strengthen from that position.
