Don't think I've quite seen anything as ridiculous in football as this Spurs manager search

Any number of Reading FC's recent manager searches?

NathStPaul Gattuso the favourite for the Spurs job.

And their supporters moaned about Mourinho.....

Received a lot of praise for his spells managing both Napoli & Milan (Milan in particular were a mess when he took over). Finished outside the CL spots with Napoli this season but if they hadn't blown it by conceding 20 minutes from the end in that game they would have finished level on points with 2nd in the league. Fine margins.

Given he quit Fiorentina today due to an argument over transfers, am not sure he is exactly the fit Spurs need.

So it now won't be Gattuso for Spurs.

This is getting beyond embarrassing for them - taking time to get it right is one thing but for it to play out in public so much makes it look farcical.

They'll offer to Harry Kane before the summer is out.

Levy might go back to Ryan Mason perhaps? He'd bloody love a yes man at the helm.

Possibly, but ended the summer with Mason in charge again, when you made it clear it wouldn't be him and Kane gone, would not be a good look.

Even with the Kane money it'll be hard to attract the sort of players they may want when the club looks like such a mess and the chance to play in the European Conference League will hardly be a draw either.

Spurs to finish bottom 10 at 6/1 on bet365 might not be a bad shout imo, it will plummet if they lose Kane

Scott Parker now being rumoured. Shambles.

Ouch - from sideways move to Bournemouth to current favourite for the Spurs job - I guess just because he played there.

Will screw up Bournemouth's plans though, so that'll be fun.

Think they should have been going for a wise old head for a season, give them time to make the right long term appointment. Rudi Garcia or someone of that ilk. Someone who can settle things down for a year.

Well the potential move by Benitez to Everton doesn't seem popular, could be a deal to hijack that? - although doubt it would go down well as he managed Chelsea too.

Yeah he'd be a really good shout. I don't think the Spurs supporters will be happy whoever it is, that is their nature. Conte was the only name that got universal appeal. Guess Spurs could go back in for him with an improved offer but that would mean Daniel Levy backing down.
Is Nuno still out of work? Wouldn't rule him out.

They must have had informal talks with Conte before Mourinho was sacked and thought it was a done deal ready to be announced at the end of the season.

Paulo Fonseca apparently believed it to be a done deal, all agreed. His wife was posting on her social media about how he had it and they were excited to move to London

This is all just so deliciously Spursy
