He's not really, he just appeared on TV and said he wanted the job, which has caused a bunch of bets to come in.

Apparently Valverde is next on the list, I'm looking forward to Spurs getting to advanced talks with him and then pulling out.

Ian would go in there and steady the ship and he's available.

Ian strikes me as a Mourinho type manager. Convinced of his own genius, never wrong and travels by bus so shouldn't have any problem throwing his players under one.

I'm a very collaborative and supportive manager. 8)

HNA perception is so very wrong.

Any chance this collaborative and supportive Ian could turn up on here once in a while?

I'm sure we'd all like to be introduced to him.

Everton supporters still moaning about Benitez getting the managers job. When you consider who else is out there and available they should be bloody grateful.

Maybe they should go back for Allardyce

Seemed to work for West Ham going back to an ex-manager who were only originally employed to steady the ship

And the list of managers turning down Spurs gets longer.

OK, apparently it's the club rather than the man turning them down but this joke's going to run and run.

Looks like Lucien Favre to Crystal Palace subject to a work permit appeal. Everton & Tottenham still a complete unknown. WBA getting Valérien Ismaël from Barnsley who in turn will be in the market for a manager. Parker departure from Fulham appears imminent with Bournemouth waiting in the wings. Hard to believe with the season 6 weeks away plenty of jobs are still a complete unknown.

The Palace appointment looks desperate.

Everton are trying to coax their supporters into backing Benitez (They are nuts if they don't appoint him btw)

Spurs are run by an Aldi version of Palpatine from Star Wars

Fulham will appoint Chris Wilder

Barnsley will appoint some bloke who looks a bit like a bank clerk from Austria/Germany
