Stranded
Old Man Andrews OGS appointed on a 3 year deal.

If he gets a big budget in the summer I can see them being right up there next season.

Not sure I can agree with that yet. He has done well by

a) not being Mourinho
b) being a nice guy
c) not being the permanent boss - so players are more relaxed

Now that c has changed it will be interesting to see if results continue. He will certainly get more time than most there because of who he is.

Seeing how things pan out now he's got the job permanently and can start to shape the squad (with ins and outs) will be interesting.

I agree he's been able to take advantage of being the man after Mourinho and being a uniting figure, a bit like McDermott did, and he's done that very well. Having the real job could be quite different though.

As much as I don't like them, a strong United makes for a better league.

Old Man Andrews It amazes me that people can even question the job he has done at United. They would be in 6th place in the league without him clinging on to a Europa league spot and going nowhere. If you want to see the impact OGS has had then watch the 2nd leg against PSG, those players were running through brick walls for him. When you have a huge group of talented players like United do sometimes all you need is a manager who can motivate them and OGS is clearly a master at getting the best from them. Tactically he won't be the best just yet but sometimes all you need is to inspire the players as a coach and he clearly is doing that.

No need to explain it. We all know Vic is massively lacking in any form of real football knowledge

he even thinks people played football before 1992!!!

bless him!

mildly unfair.

I mean, he's completely unaware of any progress since about the mid-80s and, certainly, the vast differences in training, ability, sports science and tactics since the mid-90s. You've also got to remember his antediluvian attitude to topics that include, but are not limited to, race and sex.

so, yeah, mildly unfair.

Life jacket for Ole he is out of his depth. The man who was sacked by Cardiff and manages Norway’s top team in charge of the biggest club in the world. United are the joke that keeps on giving. That’s why they should have waited till the end of the season. He will be sacked next season and back to square one. :D

The fans will definitely turn on him, however much they say they love him now. Still think it's too early to day he's out of his depth tbf.

At least this result will mean they have to play hard v Citeh if they want to get in the top 4

Didn't they also lose to Wolves before he was made permanent manager? :?

He had 66% pass completion, committed three fouls (booked for two of them) and lost possession 19 (NINETEEN) times.

He should have been booked earlier for pulling a player back.
As posted previously, a Europa League place is surely their aim for this season.

Why would a team that is in 5th place only on goal difference, albeit having played a game more, only be aiming for a Europa League place?
Would be like suggesting that Liverpool just want to secure the runner-up spot.

Wolves have beaten all of the top six apart from City, who they drew with.

It's hardly a huge upset considering the current standing and form of both sides.

EDIT: Wolves haven't beaten Arsenal, yet, but did draw with them.

Also didn't bother to track the runner for the first goal.

Wolves aren't actually that good either. They park the bus against the top six and ride their luck. United had plenty of chances to finish them off last night (but didn't). When they try and play football against lesser sides they get found out.

We were shit in the cup so fair play to them then.
