Mr.Swainey Chiellini went down so easily, just like when Ivanovic dived as well.

You forgot the YNWA at the end.

I was expecting Kes to bite (pardon the pun), but not you

Having the commentary interrupted to hear about this was the best moment in and England game of the world cup so far!

"These are just things that happen out on the pitch. It was just the two of us inside the area and he bumped into me with his shoulder, and that's how my eye got like this as well," he told Uruguayan television, pointing to his eye.

Yes. That would be after Chiellini elbowed him to try and get him off his shoulder.

Pretty sure he tried to bite Chiellini in the confederations cup last year. Finally got his man it would seem.

Yeah I think he took hunger of glory extremely literally. I don't think he should be ban from the World Cup though. If the referee didn't see him, that's it.

Neil Warnock reckons he planned it, to force a move to Bathelona.

Where's Victor defending him then? I can't believe he's not been on here saying "well, it's not like he killed him is it?"

M8, you should probably check out the 'which game will you be watching' thread on the WC forum.

Liverpool fans on twitter are blaming the media, and are upset with anyone making a joke about it.

See the other thread-not defending his action but trying to put some perspective on the severity of the offence.
For example people seem to have forgotten the over-the-top tackle by the Italian who was rightly sent off.
The idea that a little nick on the shoulder is somehow worse than a career-threatening tackle strikes me as barmy.

Racially abusing your opponents doesn't cause any physical injury - guess you don't think it really deserves punishment at all given your sliding scale of physical damage?

It's a nonsense argument and I really don't understand why even the most blinkered of Liverpool fans would seek to defend something as out of line as biting your opponents.

A poorly timed tackle, no matter what the injury, is still a mistake.

A rush of blood to the head in a heated exchange, throwing a punch or a headbutt is deplorable but not an unprecedented human response.

Biting some bloke on the shoulder for little reason is just weird and rather disturbing.

BR2 is clearly insane.

How do you know the tackle was a mistake?
BTW he didn't just walk up and bite Ciellini on the shoulder it was whilst they were jostling for position.
I may well be insane by bothering to discuss these matters with a load of other weirdos and fellow insane types who spend countless hours on a website vaguely associated with Reading football club spouting bollocks.
