Winston Biscuit Amazon Prime showing football over the next 2 nights for the first time

Will this be shown in pubs? How does it work? Is there an Amazon TV channel on Sky?

Yes it will be in pubs as there is a deal in place with BT Sport to licence games to pubs.

NICE!

In for the Merseyside derby.

Next 3 nights - strangely staggered tonight and Thursday with one game at 19.30 and the other at 20.15 - guess to try and get you to watch at least some of both games. Same split tomorrow but just the Merseyside Derby starting later.

Tuesday
7.30
Palace v Bournemouth
8.15
Burnley v Man City

Wednesday
7.30
Chelsea v Aston Villa
Leicester v Watford
Man Utd v Spurs
Southampton v Norwich
Wolves v West Ham
8.15
Liverpool v Everton

Thursday
7.30
Sheff Utd v Newcastle
8.15
Arsenal v Brighton

Bad news is they've got Clive Tyldesley in as their chief commentator.

I kind of hope it's really terrible and full of adverts for things on Amazon

'oh and a terrible miss there by Mane....if you don't want to miss this Christmas then just search in home and kitchen for our bargains on slow cookers'

That would be the stuff of dreams. I want Tyldesley to shoehorn the word "Prime" into every sentence he utters.

Another means of making access to the game more expensive under the cloak of more choice.

More choice means you have to subscribe to more channels - multiplying the cost of watching.

I can see the day that we stop watching altogether. We're already down to one (non-free-to-air) source.

I guess the counter argument to that is, loads of people already subscribe to Amazon Prime for non-football related services.

They are using it as a loss leader aren't they - to see how many new people sign up to Prime based on this.

The "good" thing here is as a football fan, this is the one way over the next 3 years that you can watch the Premier League for free. Sign up to the 30 day trial - takes in both sets of fixtures (and all other Prime benefits) then cancel on the 28th December. Rinse and repeat.

Isn't there a TV channel you just sign into on your existing Sky/Virgin?

Zammo What Sky channel ?

I only know Virgin. I imagine it is either near the sports channels or in the high 900's.

Probably stating the bleedin' obvious but it's also available through the Prime Video app on the PS4/Xbox or Smart TV.

Been watching the Burnley game - absolutely loving the no commentary option. Everyone should offer that

What's with the Clive Tyldesley beef?

Who would you have at the helm, so to speak?

Who is online
