The Premier League Guide

by AthleticoSpizz » 04 Aug 2019 20:31

Picked up the NOTW (Sun) today

In amongst the cellophane wrapped insert is the Premier League Guide 2019/2020.

Nobody in this household has even bothered to tear open the plastic....let-alone read its content.

Sign of the times? $ky and BT providing all of the hype that you need to know about the game?, no need to read about the top-guns anymore ?

No Premier League interest whatsoever here...has football slowly ate itself?

MOTD plays second fiddle to Quest too

Quest is still abysmal. They don't even edit out blatant mistakes and the presenter is a helmet.

Can't really be sure of the last time I watched or even considered watching MOTD. Must have been 2012/13 season. It's about 20 years since I took any real interest in the Premier League outside our participation in it. I mean, I vaguely know what's going on but don't really give too much of a shit.

The PL coverage has moved this season here in Germany back to Sky. Cost has gone up from 9.99 per month for a channel with nearly every other major sporting rights, to 29.99 just because it is Sky - Sky don't even have the monopoly on the Bundesliga anymore so can't even claim that as a major selling point.

Simply won't watch enough to fork out €360 a year, so will be dodgy feeds or the pub for games I fancy. To be honest, outside of watching the Reading games on iFollow, barely bother with other football now - tends to be the fallback if I can't find anything else to watch.
