Winston Biscuit Finished 1-1. Being said Bayern were awful and lucky to get away with a draw. Lovely stuff.

Did Richards play?

PSG fans doing their upmost to convince Mbappe to stay with them by booing him.

Suppose it's good preparation for when he joins Real Madrid.

Just the five goals and three assists for Haaland so far this season, in two games played. That's a 'goal involvement' every 23 minutes.

Manchester City are crazy if they pay anywhere near £150m for Kane. They could probably get Haaland for that who is younger, stronger and fitter.

Reading good things about Joe Scally's performance for Moenchengladbach against Bayern. Feels like the US are building a very strong core of young players at the moment, what with Dest (Barcelona), McKennie (Juventus), Reyna (Dortmund) and Pulisic (Chelsea) established, and the likes of Scally, Tyler Adams (RB Leipzig), Timothy Weah (Lille) and Chris Richards (Bayern) getting more and more game time. Antonee Robinson at Fulham too.

Ronaldo to start on the bench for Juve tonight apparently at his own request. Suggestions are he is trying to sort out a transfer.

He should drop the wage demands and return to Sporting Lisbon a hero.

Wouldn't be surprised if he went to the MLS though

Watched that game on TV. The whole game the fans were throwing plastic bottles at marseille players. Their manager ended up having to be held back by their players

Dear me. And the shame of it is it will probably be Payet who gets the biggest punishment. Nice should be back behind close doors for the forseeable - they were throwing bottles two weeks ago too.

Marseille had bottles thrown at them last game too

FWIW I think Payet was fully justified. I remember a few years ago a Goalkeeper got sent off because a fan came on the pitch and punched him from behind, the GK then kicked him down and got sent off.

One image I always remember was Peter Enklemen, when he scored that OG against Birmingham and the fans came right up into his face and started giving him the VVanker sign. He just stood there but he should have chinned the fan.

This is both exciting and very dull, as the 5th and 6th ranked leagues get the same number of European spots - and there is a massive gap to both Germany in 4th and Netherlands in 7th. :)

Winston Biscuit Intesting thread about Sheriff Tiraspol

Good read that. And he's not joking about the stand collapsing at his club, Tighina Bender.

The entire business is owned by a couple of very powerful families who run the "country" as one big mafia organization. One of the companies they own is Sheriff, Transnistria's only supermarket chain, and also a convenient front for trafficking.

This is were Sheriff Tiraspol comes from. The team was founded by the owners of the company (both former KGB agents, of course) who have bankrolled it as a giant money-laundering operation. They've built a huge football complex in the middle of a quiet Moldovan cow pasture.

It's literally the only modern building in the entire country. The only building of any size without Soviet mold growing on it. And it's goddamn fancy as hell. This is the building where Sheriff play opponents from Hincesti, Otaci and Orhei, whose home grounds are actual pastures.

Never let anyone tell you not to dream big, kids. There is nothing, NOTHING, that positivity, hard work, a secret nation-building KGB plot and an international gun-trafficking ring can't accomplish.

Liam Henderson, who as previously reported seems to have got a decent amount of praise in Serie B over the last couple of years, failed in the Serie B play off semi's last year with Lecce then was immediately signed by Empoli who were promoted up to Serie A

Last week Empoli beat Juventus 1-0 in their 2nd game of the season and Henderson came on as a sub.
