FA Cup 4th Round thread

by Dirk Gently » 22 Jan 2010 15:36

Not directly football-related, but we needed a thread for the matches anyway.

Just a quick observation that there's likely to be an almighty police cock-up tomorrow. Palace are playing at Birmingham and Brighton are playing at Villa, and the police are making all travelling by coach stop at Oxford Services on the M40 and nowhere else. Could be interesting!

Ouch Palace and Brighton at the same place - that was quite a decent service station too - oh well.

Never understood fans who travel on these police controlled coaches.

.... or why the Police bother to contol them - it's not the ones on the coaches wearing colours that the police need to be worried about.

Be interesting to see how many respond to the call for green and gold.

Nothing will happen. 95% of coach travellers aren't the full ticket anyway

Could be mildly entertaining a New Street. Who would take more supporters? The biggest club in the world on the south coast or palarse?

And the old bill are allowing villa and city to play at home, at the same time, on the same day??? Retards!

FTR Palace are down at the Custard Bowl, Wolverhampton. I didnt think West Mids Plod would let City and Villa be at home on the same day

British Transport Police asked the FA to move one of the games to the Sunday, supported by the FIO's at both clubs - the FA asked West Midlands Police what they thought, and they didn't give a monkeys.
