Derby have signed Colin Kazim-Richards, who is apparently still playing :? A quick look at wiki tells me he's been doing a little tour of Latin America over the last four years.

Desperate stuff from Derby. He's the sort of player I worry about us signing.

The meltdown on twitter would've been incredible.

Part of my favourite moment of any football I've ever witnessed

"knockaert takes, almunia saves

Knockaert follows in, ALMUNIA SAVES AGAIN....

Didn't Fulham just sign him for £10m in the summer?

They really are shit at this "Signing players for the Premier League" malarkey.

Assume it must've been an obligation to buy.

Still, £10m is an insane fee to agree either in the Championship or for a player that usually gets shipped back to the Championship the moment his team gets promoted.

Happened once, at Leicester. He played 65 times for Brighton in the PL in two seasons.

The maths aren't awful. Knockaert was signed on an obligation to buy for £10m if he made 30 Fulham appearances. He made 46. So it was a £10m purchase of a player to help them get to the PL. If last season had gone to shit he wouldn't have played so much.

He's just one of those in between players - needs to be at his absolute best to be a factor in the PL (as he often was at Brighton), and when he hits that best in the Championship he looks obviously too good for the league.

Like a Dwight Gayle you mean?

Regarding Knockaert though, 20 goals in 64 appearances for Brighton in the Championship between 2016-2017 compared to just 5 in 63 in the Prem for them
When you add that to just 4 goals in 42 appearances last season for Fulham 9 goals in 105 appearances indicates a player on the decline IMO

I think I'd hate* Knockaert more if his ridiculous dive in that playoff v Watford had worked out, as it is I just enjoy him as a comedy footnote to the absolute scenes that followed

*comedy football fan h8, of course

Big loss for them, one of their better forward players. QPR fans seem more annoyed at him than the club from what I have seen.

Danny Drinkwater gone on loan to Kasimpasa in Turkey for the rest of the season. Still 18 months left of his 5 year, £110K a week contract. 23 appearances for Chelsea for close to £64M total outlay.
