Huge week for Binfield, very exciting. Majority of the youth players will be there and it promises to be a really good day out.

Binfield's opponents are Warrington Rylands 1906 F.C. from the North West Counties League. We have a fairly decent chance on paper but as we all know, anything can happen in a final. Either way both sides are winners and will get their 90 minutes in the spotlight. It will do wonders financially for the club too and open the door to sponsorship deals going forward that will benefit everyone at the club.

Four Of Clubs NL Results

Sat 15th May

Aldershot Town 1-3 Hartlepool United
Boreham Wood 2-3 Wrexham
Chesterfield 0-0 Wealdstone
Dagenham & Redbridge 3-0 FC Halifax Town
Eastleigh 3-0 Barnet- 'Spitfires' have 4 games left and are within touching distance of a PO spot
Maidenhead United 0-3 Sutton United - Sutton go 4 pts clear of 'Gulls' who play tomorrow at Stockport, who themselves have a very faint chance of autos but only if the 2 above them fall apart.

Notts County 2-2 Bromley
Solihull Moors 2-1 Woking - 'Cards' lost their last 10 - and only got 1 pt from 39 available, since their Trophy S-F defeat in March
Weymouth 2-1 Altrincham
Yeovil Town 3-1 King's Lynn

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
... in the delayed Vase S-F Warrington Rylands bt Walsall Wood 2-1 and will be Binfield's Opponents in the Final.
Come on Eastleigh - save my season. Make a late run. Just not been scoring enough goals, but the run in is decent. Will hopefully go to some matches.
.... back to this season and tonight's games in the NAT league - RESULTS
Aldershot Town 1-3 Eastleigh - 'Spitfires' have 3 games left and are still in reach of the PO places.
Solihull Moors P-P Barnet waterlogged
Weymouth 1-3 Boreham Wood
Wrexham 0-1 Notts County
Yeovil Towns 0-0 Maidenhead United
....Ascot in action tonight too in the S-F of the CCL Premier Cup vs Kensington & Ealing Borough from Div One.
Like the Sandhurst Squad of late, I suspect the visitors may be bolstered with a few 'local' STEP03/04 players.
Ascot progress to the Final with a comfortable 3-0 win v K&E in front of over 300 at the Racecourse Ground.
They face either Abbey Rangers or Redhill @ Cobham in the Final on May 29th.
Just seen that Reading have opened up Bearwood for Binfield ahead of their FA Vase final. Nice touch.
NAT results:
Aldershot Town 2-3 Bromley - visitors close in on a PO spot with one game left H v Notts Co next w/e
Altrincham 4-3 Yeovil Town
Chesterfield 2-1 Dagenham & Redbridge
Eastleigh 1-0 Boreham Wood - currently back in 9th the Spitfires have 2 away games left to try and force their way in to the PO picture - Alty this Tuesday then Solihull on Sat.
Maidenhead United 1-2 FC Halifax Town - 'Magpies' down to 10 men early on and trailed 0-2 before Orsi-Dadomo scored almost immediately after Halifax's 2nd. They have 2 games left but cannot finish above 12th. The Shaymen know they have to bt Chesterfield on Sat to have a say in the PO line-ups but being back in 10th may required other results to go with them.
Notts County 3-0 Weymouth
Stockport County 1-1 Woking
Torquay United 2-2 Barnet - 'Gulls' swept into an early 2 goal lead but let struggling Barnet back in to drop vital points
- if current leaders Sutton avoid defeat tomorrow at home to 'Pool they will feel they have both hands on the Championship - would be 6 goals better off than Torquay - a win would seal it.
Wealdstone 1-4 Solihull Moors
Wrexham 5-3 Kings Lynn
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Binfield came up just a bit short at Wembley losing 2-3 - couldn't really cope with the big lump Nevitt, that Rylands had leading their line - which is odd cos the 'Moles' are traditionally strong in Central Defence.
Elliot Nevitt had notched the extra-time winner last weekend in the FA Sunday Cup Final, for Campfield FC vs St Josephs (Luton) - so quite a week for him.
- maybe lockdown had cut available resource in the 'Moles' back-line and they did so nearly force extra time late on, as they appeared to be overwhelming a tiring Warrington defence.
(I'm assuming it wasn't going to go straight to pens this year? The Trophy game wasn't Kicking off for well over an hour afterwards.)
'Ferdy' up front looked as classy as ever - was plying his skills at STEP02 not all that long ago. Special mentions for Hancock at left-back and Josh Howell when he came on. Kensley Maloney worked tirelessly in midfield but perhaps that is where Binfield were undone - certainly 1st Half. Shame they couldn't find room to bring on veteran striker 'JJ' but I s'pose Asa Povey would been thought of providing more of a threat late on.
Was nice to see Roger H. amongst the staff on the bench for them too - he's been back helping out in the Vase run.

I broke my post-lockdown duck and forced my idle self away from the sofa and down to Squirrels La, Cove FC for the Hellenic Presidents Cup Semi-Final :
Yateley Utd 1-3 Chinnor - winners will meet Kintbury Rangers (somewhere) in the Final possibly next w/e.
Minor drawback was no Hospitality made available by Cove: just pitch and Changing Rooms - Clubhouse was closed throughout which was a test for the ageing bladder. 8)

In the CCL Cups today Redhill BT Abbey Rgrs 5-2 and will contest the Final with Ascot next w/e.
Sandhurst were edged out 0-1 by Spelthorne in the Fripp-Smith Trophy @ Farnham.

A Sutton win tomorrow would be enough for the title.

I like new teams in the football league like barrow and Harrogate but

Not that it matters now but you were correct the final was the only match in this seasons Vase comp where 30 mins extra time is played in the event of a draw at 90 mins.

Giving the penalty away so soon after equalising was a killer

Valiant effort though
